so brand new to me Tacoma- there are 2 black plastic/rubbery strips on the roof and the passenger side roof strip is quite loose- can these be had reasonably or? Is there a better trick to keeping them in they sit on a channel but the strip looks worn out or sun damaged?

    thanks

I understand they are about $125 a piece, and there are many of them laying in the ditch around the country. If you're lucky and still have them, they can be fixed. This is what I used - opened the window and used a few clamps. Held for 4 months, every time I check it, it's solid as a rock.

Very common... The wind catches the front edge and rips it off. Yes, the repair is still solid after 4 months.

One of mine went awol just over a week after I bought it. Today I'll be installing a factory style roof rack so I don't have to worry with them anymore.

I used a dab in the front and back after putting a light bar mount it kept falling off.
