    Hello TW

    Ive just added some weight to my truck and am now thinking of replacing my clutch. Ive always previously gone with parts store specials, or slightly above budget options. But this time around I think that I should go with a more appropriate option given the additional weight.

    First though, I must tell you that I do not mind at all spending more to buy a better product. I also do my own labor. I also love turning wrenches and have done dozens of clutches. So the ideal clutch for me would be something that grips well under weight and high torque loads, longevity would be great but not at the expense of performance.

    I also havent been able to find any flywheel options, just the run of the mill stock weight flywheel. Are there light weight variants that are acceptable for offroad and daily use?

    Late reply, but I believe the consensus on clutches is to go with a factory Toyota clutch

    I'm daily driving about 1000# over stock weight. And when I'm loaded up for camping about 1600#.

    Flywheel and clutch are great. The heavier flywheel, has made it so I've never stalled my engine lugging over the rocks. I just blip the throttle, and it just lugs me over.

    Although, I have a vibration at idle and until I replace the engine and transmission mounts I suspect my flywheel is not completely balanced.

    Marlin crawler is also a vendor where folks here like to by clutches...

    OEM or Marlin Crawler. Make sure you get an OEM throw out bearing, Marlin also sells OEM flywheels and hardware like slave and clutch cylinders, bolts, etc

    Little late but I would say if I needed another Clutch I would go with Marlin Crawler

    Make sure to replace the throwout bearing!! I didn't and I think I'm going to replace the clutch prematurely to deal with the squeaky TOB

    Agreed, I did a factory Toyota one last time and it's been great, but I think I'll go Marlin on the next one, they seem to have put a lot of thought into that setup, a lot of people prefer them over OEM
