Well it's still going, I'm at work tonight. How's things with you? I saw where you got your snorkel on.

 

Everything is good! Craaaaazy busy this month... it will finally slow down next week and I'm so excited! I say yes to way too much... no more! I'm a free woman!! I gotta get out and try that snorkel, ya know?

How'd planting go?

I'm done planting corn and it's just starting to come up. It's been raining on and off for the last few days. Just keeping the ground wet enough that I can't start planting soybeans. But that's ok I still have a lot of time before it's to late to plant them.

Glad it's going well so far! I have a black thumb and the only thing I can keep alive is my cacti and succulent collection at work. They like it when I forget to water them.

 

I just put the seeds in the ground, Mother Nature and God takes care of the rest.

 

No but really. When I try that, I really kill things.

 

Well sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

 

I should never be a farmer.

 

Jessica in 2011 I planted 400 acres but only harvested 20 acres. Mother Nature and the Missouri River were not very kind that year!

 

Damn. Farming is hard business.

 

I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it. The cost of everything is getting so high though. Corn seed for 185 acres was a little over $16,000.

 

Holy shitballs. You're hardcore, Steve. It definitely takes a special kind of individual to stay in that business.
