Open for ideas on performance modification. What do you think will give this 4-CYL some added power/performance in the Sierra Nevada's. I am thinking-Screenshot_20170417-223706.jpg
air intake might be a good start :bikewhoops:?

10-4 I had heard from an independent specialist the intake might help in the higher elevation, it runs great for a 4 banger and the intake is within the budget. Still thinking on it...

It's not worth the money. You could take off the charcoal filter that's installed above the engine air filter. If you're going into mountains I hope that you bought the manual and not the four-speed automatic.

    Welcome and congrats James.

This doesn't help with power, but if you ever need to reduce the throttle lag, we LOVE our Sprint booster. We've just run the sprint booster on the FJ though, not a Taco yet. Only mentioning it because it's by far our favorite product.
Here's a video at the bottom of this page if throttle lag ever feels like an issue...

I was able to get into a V6 09' Tacoma after the wreck, and it's been an awesome truck for me. Getting new tires. I had different wheels on the 12' that was totaled. I am running stock 75's on my current truck. Any-one think 265/75 16 are acceptable for wheel well. I don't want to spend the extra on new wheels. Just using her for commute in Sierra Nevada. Or go smaller? Really want these again. Thanks. 32e6cb473293402a8bf79e098933aa6f552eaeb8b918e44f334e2a6a28225cc5.jpg
