I researched and researched...I have a brand new frame on my '06....any of you see problems with welding with our frames? I've been to Jeep forums and they say welding is the way to go....Help me decide. I have a guy that works for a large truck shop and he is a professional welder...he said he could do it for 150. I'm probably going with Trail Gear....

No issues welding them on. I had avid bolt-ons that mounted to the cab not the frame. Not good for wheelin'. A good buddy and TW member onverted them to weld on. The have held up great!

I personally feel that welding them on is the way to go, had mine done last week on my first gen, but on my second gen I have bolt on sliders just because I did them myself and I do not have any welding skills.

I've got bolt on's from metaltech 4×4 and I've used the shit out of them, including using them for hi-lift jacking points. Not one issue ever. I've also been completely high centered on them and they supported the whole truck. As far as the argument that weld on's are stronger... I haven't ever had a problem with the bolt on's failing. Just thought I'd throw it out there.IMG_20160709_161734657.jpg
Heres a pic of when I high centered on them

Weld them on. Stronger. Lighter. Less likely to rust too.
