Anti-seize - grease

Question: Can anti-seize be used as a grease?
I have a shaft that wheels go on@ the end of the shaft is a spline for a gear.
Do I just just put anti-seize on the spline and grease the shaft?
You know that anti-seize is going to go everywhere anyway!

 

anti-seize can be used as a grease. It starts off as a grease base with either graphite or moly added to it. There maybe better greases depended if its exposed to high heat or wet environments.

 

I use it only in high-heat situations, like plugs and exhaust manifolds.
I've read that, since its a lubricant as well, it can cause over-torquing in other areas
where rust and corrosion are not as problematic.

 

Depends on just what your doing is this for low speed ??

 

Yes ... an axle on a leaf vacuum ..walking speed

 

Then you going to be fine although like anything else some of the dirt will always stick
