LEDs for SR5

Ok, I have a headache from trying to read through the forum. I could of sworn I read somewhere that SR5 bulbs are different than TRD models.

I'm looking to switch out the lows and fogs....
Has anyone switched out the bulbs on the SR5 with LEDs?

If so, which brand and model did you use?

Headache? Sounds like you got lazy because there are so many threads covering the same question. Why not just search online if the parts are the same for a SR5 and TRD? Or better yet the manual in your truck pg 578... When I just looked in about 2 minutes both show the same bulb for all models. You could also take the bulb type in the manual and match it to an LED bulb/base. The manual won't lie.

Now which brand and model, you can search for that as there are tons of opinions and threads on that. Just have to gather intel and get what you feel is the best answer from a bunch of random people on the internet.

Thanks for your extremely long response. According to my lazy research the bulbs aren't the same for the fog light bulbs on sr5 and trd.
So looking for someone who actually has put LEDs in an SR5. But thanks anyways

 

Hahaha. The typical Tacoma World "you need to search" response. By that logic, no one should post any new threads... everything has been discussed ad nauseam on here.

 

Or one could simply answer the question for someone new.

SR5 takes H10 bulbs in the fogs
TRDs take H11 bulbs in the fogs

Note that you should not put a drop in LED bulb in the halogen fog housing as your beam will be very poor. Instead look at complete replacements like the Morimoto fogs from The Retrofit Source.

Headlights are the same.
