    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give a shout out for fellow drivers who have a 2005+ Tacoma with a sunroof made by Webasto. Recently while driving I had mine blow out, which nearly caused an accident. When I got my recalls taken care of at my local Toyota dealership they never mentioned this recall to me so it came to me by surprise. Fortunately, it was covered under the recall and this new sunroof seems great.

For those few of you who may have a 600, 700, or Hollandia TVS 900 series sunroof, I implore you to contact your local certified Webasto center and check if your sunroof is part of the recall.

Provided is a link detailing the effect and remediation of the recall: http://listscar.blogspot.com/2011/08/webasto-recalls-fly-away-sunroofs.html

My dealer had it as an option and was handled by the techs, not sure if it was installed by dealer techs or Webasto's, but it was made by Webasto.

I have owned two vehicles with factory sunroofs: an '89 300E and a '91 Cressida. Both cars purchased new, both leaked within the first 6 months. I learned from those that cutting a hole in a perfectly good roof is a rather silly thing to do...

Have had/have three vehicles with sunroofs, zero leaks. Guess it depends on the car.
