My lock doesn't seem to be engaging at all. I rarely get in situations where I need it but the couple of times I have it isn't working. Any suggestions? Does anyone have the wiring diagram for it?

Are you a 4x4 or a pre-runner? What is the dash light doing during this?

I'm in 4 low. The dash light blinks then stays solid

If the RR Diff light goes solid then that means the computer is saying that it is engaged, are you sure it isn't? Do you hear a "clack" sound from the rear end right before the light goes solid? Usually you can hear it lock.

If you try turning (make sure you're on dirt or gravel) you'll know if it's working or not...the back end will 'hop' or skip a bit because both wheels are turning at the same rate.

The Toyota e-locker is finicky, it usually requires you to drive forward (or backward) a few feet after pressing the diff lock button before it engages...but once the light goes solid it should be on.

If I'm offroading and get into an area where I need 4lo, I almost always engage the locker at the same time. I'd rather have it on and know that it's going to help if I need it than find myself up on a spot or situation where I suddenly need it and it won't lock right away. It's not like you go very fast in 4lo anyhow so I don't see the downside to having it locked whenever you're in 4lo (unless maybe you're in snow/ice)

This, and alternative to the driving feel check you can jack up the rear after it goes solid (turn off the truck)to check tires spinning the same way when you spin one

I've never heard the clack sound. I'll go outside now and give it a try to see what happens. I read somewhere that it could be buildup keeping the pin from engaging?
