So just talked to Tom. Here's the deal. 3rd gen are being redesigned to fit the bed instead of being just a straight swap over from the Hilux. They are currently taking preorders for arrival in the March time frame. If we can get a group together then they are offering free installation as the incentive for the buy. We would need to place the order together so the sooner the better as I would like to get mine on lock down asap. Tom also thought that if we all ordered together it would be cool to get them all installed together/meetup. I think that would be a cool idea so let's get to work!

I'm in for GB. Can you create a new dedicated thread for that @fergsonfire? I too new, tacomaworld won't let me do that yet.

No, it is a 2nd gen sorry. This will be the very last canopy available in the US until end of March (at the earliest).

The redesign is for the 3rd Gen canopies to follow the updated/slightly more contoured bed and tailgate area. The previous canopies for the 3rd Gen worked fine but weren't where we wanted them detail-wise, cosmetically.

Still on the fence, but hadn't noticed any new thread specific to canopy GB so will continue to follow this thread for Gen3 canopy status. Thanks.

We never actually had an official group buy on the tent. There was someone organizing to see if multiple people down in the LA area wanted to have them all shipped together similar to the canopies here, but it didn't happen. Sorry! We do have a couple of Alu-Cab tents left but after this lot there won't be any available for a month or two.

Yes, the price of the tents went up by about $300 due to a change in classification on import, which forced the duties insanely high at customs. o_O

    Lifted, Armored, needs more lights.
@Adventure Ready if you ever run a Group Buy on the Shadow Awning, I would be interested.

Surprised ALU- Cab doesn't find a local contract manufacturer to lower the cost on some of their stuff.

This group buy is not happening, there's a very low chance of having five RTT shipped to one address. That's the only way he will discount.

What if we could arrange a full pickup at their shop? I have a Ram 2500 I could probably fit 5-6 tents in the bed. I'm located down in Portland. If we could get all local sales it would work. PM me if you want to talk details.

Yea he will definitely give that a bite, unfortunately I'm down in SoCal/Fresno area. I'm in for two tents but that's not cutting it so I'm considering a JB. Found a Grand Raid xxl brand new in the box for $2200. I would like to get the Alu Cab but it isn't happening so screw it, I will live on with a James baroud :)
