^^^that's the lazy way. Why not do a little diagnosing and figure out what is causing the issue, then correct it and enjoy the truck lifted?

Did a 2 inch lift in the front and 1 in the rear. Ecgs bushing and I had vibrations as well. Slid under my truck and measured the driveline angle. It was slightly off. Popped a 1/8 inch thick 3/8 washer to shim the carrier bearing and rides perfect now. You can buy a bag of 1/8 inch thick washers and pop a few in and see if it fixes your driveline angle.

What did you lift the rear with (how many inches)? Also like others have said possibly rubbing on the uca as well

Tire sidewall could be rubbing on knuckle - take a look back there.

Did steering get loose after the 'pop' sound? That does look like more than 2" of lift.

My bro has that type of bed cover. He can puts lots of weight on top, but when off-roading that thing rattles loudly.

Yeah I pulled over to look at everything. Couldn't find anything loose or leaking but the steering did feel sloppy after that pop.

I'll admit It was a fuck up on my part trying to cut corners and go with the 888 coils for the future bumper. I'm guessing it added an inch in height.

I told them just to put the stock suspension back on. Just making trips from MS to FL would be a hassle with the way the engine felt trying to turn those tires. Will Let y'all know if they find what that pop came from.

That's why a lot of folks trying to run 285's on this 3.5L and 6 speed tranny are opting to regear to 4.88s. This truck is not cut out to turn 33's unfortunately. The motor and trans drives me batshit crazy as it is... no fucking way I would throw 33's on this pig. If I only wheeled it, then I guess it wouldn't be a big deal but this is also my daily driver. Not many people are buying $40K trucks just to wheel on the weekends. If you want to run 33's and have it decent for daily driving I think you have to plan to dump a couple grand into having it regeared with Nitro 4.88s.... about $2k in parts and labor.

Shit starts adding up quick. Suspension 2,000 to 2,500; wheels and tires another 1,400 to 1,600+; regearing 1,800 to 2,200. Wow. I mean you're in it 6 to 7 grand just to get a lift and 33's on it with halfway decent commuting performance right there. That isn't including armor, bumpers, lightbars, and whatever else guys like to throw on these things.

Yeah I went 32s on the tires and still can feel the drag on the engine. Definitely wouldn't be happy with long distance hauls even with just 32s. I'll bite the bullet on this one and chalk it up as a life lesson.
I don't want to dump anymore money into it than I've already put. Hopefully will be able to sell the rims and tires quick. Imma take a hit on the price but better to be out a few hundred than several thousand.

Lift is salvageable with new UCAs and corrected drive shaft angles. If you're not up for that (sounds like you're not), then revert the lift back to stock, keep the rims, and see if you can go back to where you got your tires and swap them for 265/70-17. You should be able to run that size without a lift with little to no rubbing, while mostly maintaining the look you were going for.

Yep been there done that. Not worth the "look" in my opinion.

    That's what I'm thinking for a later date. 265s or 255s.

This may not be the case, but the symptoms all sounded similar to what I messed up when I first did my small lift. When I put the springs on the front I mistakenly turned the spring perches upside down when I put the coil back together and I ended up getting WAY more than 1" lift. The UCA's were binding on the springs and I have no doubt if I drove it that way I would have had major clunks and pops and all kinds of issues going on. It all went together without much problem so I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't realize that it was SO lifted. You definitely look like you've got more like 4-5" of lift than 2", which is why I bring it up.

When I pulled my Needle Bearing out the roller bearings were not seated well... The angle probably unseated a few of them which didn't help. I imagine this is the case on quite a few, if not all of them.

I have a 2.5 Boss lift and 285's. I did drop a couple MPGs but didn't notice the performance being any worse. The trans was already a turd. I have the vibration but its very slight. But, I will only have this for another year or so, then I'm getting a Tundra I think.

Got her back stock again! Riding just how she was before. I guess the good thing that has come out of this is I have the ECGS bushing installed.

If anyone is close to Mississippi Gulf Coast I have these parts available for sell. Will post in the For sell section. Thanks!
