Hello, here's my introduction. I've been a long time Toyota fan. I learned to drive in my dad's old 1986 Toyota Pickup 4x4 back in the 90s. That truck would go anywhere. I've been in love with Toyota trucks ever since. Now I've got one of my own. Here's a shot of what it looked like right when I got it. [IMG]

I've got dreams for this as a burly overlander, but its mostly my daily driver and its not cheap. But I do hope to make it a modest adventure mobile. I live in Utah and expect to get out and put it to task as much as possible. I've thrown an OME lift and a soft topper on it and took it to Moab and I'm still using the temporary plate. [IMG]

So far I've had it about a week and a half but I spent the week in Moab and then the weekend over in Fruita Colorado, and it kept the dust out pretty well. It's for a 1st gen but it fits ok. I'm sure one specific to the 2nd gen would fit a bit better but I found a good deal on it used so I'm willing to deal with it. I built a plywood platform and put in one of those folding foam mattresses in the back and it made for a pretty cozy sleep space. It's been raining this week so I'm curious to see how well it keeps out the water.
