I've just recently purchased the trd off-road suspension (coilovers, leaf springs, rear shocks) from a 2017 and I'm planning on putting it on to my 2012 sr5 4x4. I've been hearing two different things, ONE, I'll get a 1" lift both front and back, and TWO, I'll only get lift in the front.

has anyone done this or know the exact lift?

Which should be fine, and expected.

Nobody buys OEM suspension for the lift. 2016/2017 leaf packs are the same as the 2012-2015s. Any lift you see is due to sag of your current leaf packs.

Only front theoretically but if your current leaf springs are tired you'll get some lift there too

I did a 2016 TRD OR swap on my 2012. Added 1/4 top plate spacers and a wheelers progressive aal. Bout 1.5" in front and 2" in the rear.

What about from a 3rd gen Double Cab to a 2nd gen Access Cab?! Will it bolt right in? I could use a 10 year newer stock suspension.
    :fingerscrossed:

And I gather there will be lift in the front...? The leafs are brand new in my current setup. (Probably will stay same height?)

I'm sure you'll see some height gained in the rear also, your leafs are 10 years old. No way they are fresh and without sag.

Nah, I just bought it. The dealer just replaced the entire leaf set

Perfect. Skip the leafs then - as long as yours are 4 leaf packs.

To piggyback off main topic, would 3rd gen leaf pack provide any lift over pre 2012 (3 leaf) pack? I have 2010 with original leaf pack and am contemplating putting in 3rd gen leaf springs for cheap or trying to get dealer to perform recall. Will be installing 3rd gen OR shocks.

Also the front +1" from OR suspension, does that come from the coils or shocks? For example if I change out the shocks for 5100's down the road and keep the coils, would keep the 1" lift or will I be back at stock ride height?

    Thanks!

The 5100 are adjustable and do work with the coils from the 3rd gen OR coilover, the only way to get rear lift from the stock 3rd gen leaf is if your leaf springs are worn out, the 3rd gen leafs are 4 leaf construction as compared to 2nd gen 2 leaf(which is fairly annoying and useless) in my opinion I'd get the 3rd gen leaf pack. Hope the helps.

    Good info. Thanks.

So I guess theoretically, the 3rd gen 3+1 should give me a little bit over my 2nd gen pre-tsb 2+1. I'm mostly interested in leveling it out and fitting 32"s. Also just replacing the tired 130k mile suspension that's on there already.

I've heard headstrong knows their stuff. I just feel bad picking their brain if I'm not really intending on purchasing anything. I think I have what I need though. Thanks again.
