    My springs are being replaced this Thursday courtesy of Toyota.

    The warranty/service guy at my local dealer has been really good to me:
    My truck was originally sold in Canada so the VIN had to be transferred into the U.S. system. He got it done in a day and left me a VM apologizing for the one-day delay;
    He said the springs were "hen's teeth" right now but, since mine are broken, he'll ship them in from another dealer about 200 miles away and do mine in as soon as a day;
    No problem shuttling me to and from my work 30 miles away while they do the service.

    I know this isn't typical auto dealer behavior but I have to give credit where and when credit is due. So, kudos to Kalispell Toyota for a job thus far well done. They have earned some points in my book.

    Everyone questioning leafs they have or if they qualify............Every 3 leaf pack should qualify. If you do NOT have 3 clips in front of axle AND 3 clips behind the axle on your 4 leaf pack then it should qualify for replacement.

    Hey,
    What part of Alberta did you get this done in?
    One of my springs broke...heard it today rattling around a bit, took a look and sure enough, one was broken.
    I'm in Edmonton and going in tomorrow for them to take a look.
    I'm expecting a bit of a hassle because my truck ('07 Tacoma) was originally from the USA then transferred to Canada by the original owner, then i bought it here in 2011.
    I checked my VIN on "toyota.com/recall" and it comes up showing the leaf spring and a floor mat issue, but the dealer said they don't see anything coming up when they enter my VIN. I checked my VIN at "toyota.ca/toyota/en/my-toyota/recalls" and it says "invalid VIN"???

    It won't matter. I had the recall done with the standard replacement springs and found them too weak to hold anything. Went back and had the "heavy duty" springs installed and guess what...they sag too. I installed air bags and now I can tow and carry loads in the bed just like a real truck.

    Air bags are such a good investment, I loved mine. Would still have them if I didn't buy the 1 Ton I have

    Stock, for now.
    Since I just bought my 07, Can I assume that, if I see only 3 clips, that this recall has not been done?

    I have a 2005 Prerunner and went to the dealer with recall notice in hand. They had no problem looking up eligibility and availability, and prompty ( 3 hour wait time) replaced my 3 leaf for a 4 leaf pack - no questions asked or even determined if I had any broken springs. They did this as a matter of course, and actually leveled my truck out which which leaning by 0.375". Now ready for an AAL with confidence.

    Walked into my Toyota Dealership (Hilltop Richmond) this morning hoping to make an appointment. To my surprise they have a stock of the leaf packs and checked my truck for the work. Another recall they're working on is the spiral cable as my airbag light is on. Fingers crossed.

    Update: The dealership got it in 4 hours along w the spiral cable. The truck felt stiffer and more responsive. Time will tell when i tow or put a load in the back. Great customer service at Hanlees Hilltop.

    Well, my saga unfortunately continues. I originally had 4-packs installed under the "harsh ride TSB" in 2010. I had the leaf spring recall installed in October 2016. The dealer ordered & installed the new 3-pack leaf springs (34304) instead of the recall replacement TSB 4-pack leaf springs (34404). After the install, I was disturbed by how much height I lost in the rear, and how soft the drive had become so I investigated & within one week, with research in hand, I contacted my dealer, and reported the mistake. (Somewhat to my surprise at the time) they quickly recognized the mistake, and said they'd order the new TSB packs and call me when they came in. I posted about this in this thread back on 10/13/16 ... Post 1885.

    Well I never heard back. So a couple weeks ago, I called the dealer to check on my order. I was told there was no active order for me, and was put in touch with the Service Manager. He acknowledged the problem, but told me he couldn't do anything because the employee I had worked with last year was no longer with the dealership, asked me to submit all my documentation via email and said he'd pitch it to the District Rep for approval.

    Within 2 hours of providing the info to the dealer, the District Rep declined my request for remediation, saying because the "recall was performed to standard" and because TSBs are not "warranty extensions" and solely honored by the discretion of Toyota, they do not have to correct their mistake even if they performed the TSB in the past. He also told the service manager that "by good willing a second repair" he was concerned they would "open up a compliance issue."

    In other words .. Let's cover our ass.

    So now it's on to Toyota Corporate I go. Very frustrating. :(

    I think I may be experiencing the same thing as you. I've only read a few pages of posts in this thread so I'm trying to get caught up. I had the original TSB for the "harsh ride" done on my 2008 probably 6-7 years ago. Fast-forward to this week and I had the leaf recall done. The truck rides fine, a little softer, but it is now sitting level, almost nose high, where before it had some rake to it.

    Am I understanding right that there are two separate leaf spring part numbers that they can order to correct this recall? One with three leafs and one with four? I may need to go check my springs...

    So let me see if I understand this .... the TSB leaf springs are being recalled now. Because I also had the TSB done about 7-8 years ago and that was a 4 leaf pack to replace the factory 3 leaf pack .
