2016 TRD Sport LSD Grinding

    2016 Tacoma TRD Sport
    So I took my 2016 2wd tacoma off roading today. I was slowly climbing up a steep rutty road and the entire time there was this grinding sound coming from under the truck, off and on. Almost like the transmission was slipping. It made it up just fine, but the noise was alarming. I had turned the VSC off which supposedly turns on the auto LSD. Any idea what the grinding was? ABS system? Seemed very weird. My last tacoma sport (2006) didn't make this noise. Thanks!

    So its normal to make a loud grinding noise whenever it engages? Seemed really loud and out of place.
