The one year manufacturer warranty just expired on my Icons and while I'm under my truck the other day I see this. Emailed Icon sales department but have yet to hear back. Can someone here advise me on how I should move forward? Rebuild, replace, demand Icon make a warranty exception and replace the coilover? Maybe a rep for Icon can chime in. Man so glad I went with the 6112s. I have seen nothing but problems with the Icon suspension stuff lately. Also their customer service gets ripped and the tech team gives poor advice based on some of the feedback I've seen from other members here. Maybe they're getting too big for their britches.

Sucks man. Hope they make it right for you soon.

    Ask* for a warranty exception.

You own them. The warranty is over. They're leaking.

You have no demands to make.

Thanks. It's total bullshit that the warranty just expired in March. 7k on the shocks and maybe 2 or 3 actual wheeling trips on them. Not like I was even abusing the shocks is the part that pisses me off

Already see where this thread is headed. Don't need sarcasm. Need individuals who have actually delt with Icon repairs outside of the warranty to chime in.

Ok, icons website states they do not do rebuilds at the moment, but they list authorized dealers that do rebuild. You are out of warranty and need a rebuild.

Be happy they lasted the year of warranty. Two of mine didn't. (And I'm only about ~9 months in.)

And as someone else already posted, ICON no longer offers non-warranty rebuilds (ie. service), so you'll have to get it done elsewhere. The good news is that there are ICON dealers all around the south-western US, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem finding one for you.

Personally, when my warranty expires, I'm going to stock up on rebuild kits and oil, and learn to do it myself.

I had the icons and I thought the customer service was OK but I am disappointed that they just discontinued doing the service in house. They could be going through some growing pains. But I think all the coil overs have this issue which is why they only offer a one-year warranty. I think every other non coil over shock is either three or five, lifetime. I think at this price point and only a one-year warranty it's a fancy "racing" part so you have to play boutique item game.
For me personally I won't do that again , I will go with a simple style shock whatever your favorite is OME / 6112's something simple cheap (relative) and lifetime warranty. As technology gets better I'm open to looking at it again , but right now I don't think we're there for a daily driver.

Go with the flow bro... remember where you are!

TW to the rescue! Go TW go.... o_O

I would call Icon or where ever you bought them from and see if there's a rebuild program. Back in the day these parts were rebuildable and it ain't rocket science. Hardest part is getting new oil in the piston. If they put a valve in there it would be easy with the right equipment.

I was going to say your suspension doesn't even look very dirty .... so truck is enjoying an easy life.
