I also agree that when you put your foot into it, the trans does respond better. Motor Bog doesn't go away though. If it is your daily driver in slow traffic, then the trans appears to revert to it's bad habits.

oh, thought it was a sarcastic moment.

yeah it inserts physically between your throttle pedal and the harness going to the engine. it is a throttle signal modulator. that's all it is. but it is not simply an amplifier, but a modulator with a number of different curves that you can access through the programs available on it. i use a setting that's a pretty good bit of signal boost up to about half throttle or so. it fills in the response void on my motor regarding how i expect the throttle to respond. i consider it a really good bandaid fix carrying me until a proper tune is released that will allow the motor to act like a normal one... to me that means the software and ECU workings are there to optimize the hardware and not to hold it back for whatever contrived reasons.

i could say more if you have any specific q's. but one day soon i'm hoping to unplug it and plug in an OV handheld or something to make this all correct.

btw, for MT operators that want a stronger motor response i would recommend trying it and returning it if you don't like it. but i have an MT, and for that reason i can't comfortably recommend it for AT drivers since there's too much wonk going on there to know what's happening. it's simple and clean for the MT's though.

    I think you're making my point ??????

No I would never buy an EcoBomb. Having built A/G drag vehicles, blowers & turbos will cut the life of you piston rings in half. It's also not cool to suck turbo blades/bearings into the motor.

Obviously the 5.4 V8 had more power. Quite surprising though, it got 18/21.5 MPG. It also was the 1st year for Fords 6 speed automatic. I was very satisfied with it. I thought for sure that Toyota had looked at Ford' and GM's design(they had 6 years to do so) and improved on it. That is how Japan conquered the electronics, photography and auto industries.

Someone here said they got lazy. I suspect they did what US CEOs did 15 years ago. They outsourced everything and didn't have very good quality control. It doesn't matter to them. By the time the shit hits the fan, they golden parachute the mess falls on the next poor slob.

Just passed someone today who was doing 50, in the 1-3 seconds that you say your truck does nothing I was going 87mph! Something terribly wrong with your truck.

I've still never seen them live. The one time they were here they had gojira opening. I didn't go as I didn't want to pay $80 to only see gojira do a short set as I didn't know who Mastodon was.

Now? I kick myself every time I think I could've seen them together

I'm not sure if was the same tour but I saw Gojira open for Mastodon in Tempe right after Crack the Skye came out. It was a great show! They played their hits then played Crack the Skye from start to finish. Obviously I still remember it lol!

Just hit 517 miles and I swear my MT is working way better now, holding gears longer etc. wonder if it's programmed differently for brake in period?

I figured, it feel now like it did in ect mode for the first 500. Maybe a bit of an exaggeration but markedly better.
