SOS Concepts Streamline Bumper installed!

So my thoughts: I LOVE the bumper, it fits well, I opted for the Line-X coating and I'm so glad I did! It was packaged really well and there are zero damages on it. It is supposed to come with a little coolant line relocation bracket, but it was missing... however, I actually had something in my garage that worked perfectly.

Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for and I am very pleased. Thanks @EddyRRT and SOS Concepts!

so I wanted to see how much the winch / bumper combo would lower the truck's front end so I measured before and after, first pic is drivers side, second is passenger.. (measurement is ground to fender):

Is that powder coat or Line-X?

 

Line-X! it was a little more expensive, but totally worth it!

 

I have the full on Baja front bumper... powder coated and ready for install. Just waiting for a good weekend.

no (it would have helped, because it was heavy as hell haha) but the bumper is steel and about 60lbs, and the winch was another 60 lbs.... so I used a jack / jackstands to lift it up and hold it in place while I bolted it down!

 

Good to know... I won't have to promote my wife to shop foreman for the weekend!

 

if she's willing, I would save yourself the hassle and get her help haha

 

Kinda like reading distructions or making sure we have a map or something... homer buckets work just like 2 more hands!

 

What did you use to cut the plastic off bumper

I used a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder... but looking back, I should have used an oscillating tool....much easier / smoother cut.

 

So i have a razor, a reciprocating saw and a oscillating tool so i guess ill be good. But i did not get trim molding with it. Now just trying to find the directions to cut as my papers that came with bumper are unreadable.

 

just follow the groove for the black bumper insert w/ a sharpie or paint pen

 

Op, first let me say nice looking truck. I been looking at this SOS bumper for a long time. I like the aluminum option. I noticed SOS doesn't has the option of light bar cut outs. My question is: If I put a bumper light, will the scoop block the light bar?

"fit" works... the word "fitment" has always bothered me for some reason. the "fit and finish" is good. Could we say the "fitment and finishment" is good?
