I am looking to buy a .380 and was wondering if anyone has any good or bad experience with these two brands.

I cant speak for Bersa but Ruger is decent brand. I havent had any issues with my Ruger pistols.

Ruger LCP 380 is prob one of the best pocket pistols I've had and accurate for the size. Can't speak much for Bersa, never even fired one.

Probably going to get the Ruger tomorrow. The Bersa is a cool looking gun, kinda looks like an old James Bond weapon.

Never owned a .380, but the Bersa has a cult following.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

I own both the Bersa Thunder .380 and the Ruger LCP .380. The Bersa fits my hand a lot better than the LCP. The LCP is harder to hold due to its small size. However, the LCP fits my wife's hands perfectly! We have had zero issues with both of these pistols.

I went ahead and spent a few more bucks and got the Smith and Wesson bodyguard with CT laser.

Not sure if the dealer informed you but Smith is running a $50 mail in rebate on Bodyguards.

I carry the bodyguard .380, love it, trigger pull is a little long, but I figure if I ever need it, trigger pull won't matter!!! I think you'll be pleased with your purchase.

Yeah, he gave me the form. I bought the M&P 9mm in February. Missed out on the $75 rebate.

This video had a great breakdown of the best .380s, The Bersa and the Ruger were on the list, the Keltec also placed high.

Personally the Bersa Firestorm is on the to-buy list for me. Its like a much improved PPK style package, lighter, more accurate. I know the 'cool factor' should not apply on a CCW, you need something that is for 100% utility. However, the Bersa does win with that.

Both would be good choices, ive only shot the Bersa and i like it. I have big hands so would highly recommend a extra grip, but even my USP feels small/narrow to me. The LCP is tiny from what ive seen, it probably would be the best for carry over the Bersa, but make sure its comfortable for you in the way youll be carrying it. Personally i dont think i could hold it properly in a rushed situation from what ive seen.
