    Ok everyone. Been looking for some help from ARE. countless emails and no help back. Even sent me the wrong parts. They sent me a L.e.d dome light and apparently I have an older style one.

    I also have an electronic lock built into the back glass. No idea on how to wire that up. was curious if anyone done this on here and made a thread.

    thanks

    I recently got a camper shell on craigslist that had an electronic lock on it (came with it's own remote). I ended up running a 14ga wire (with an inline fuse near the battery just in case) from the battery under the truck to the shell and wired it in. I just grounded it under the drivers tail light, this way it always has power. As far as the lights, if they are led you could probably get away with running 1 wire for both since the lights are low draw on the power.

    Dealer wired my Leer's LED to battery. Power lock was tapped into rear door's wiring.

    You can splice into the driver side break light:
    Ground (Black) --> Tacoma Light Ground (White)
    Positive Interior (Red with Stripe) --> Tacoma Positive (Green with stripe) {makes the shell interior light operable only when the head lights are on}
    Positive Break Light (Red) --> Tacoma Positive (Green)

    For camper dome light, ran a wire direct to battery.

    For they keyless lock, unlock, run a wire to passenger side door lock wire. Follow the pop and lock instructions to run this. Some instructions in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/index.php?threads/348117/

    Might as well install a pop and lock at the same time as doing this.

    The keyless lock wires come out left side of the sleeve running along the base of the rear window, up along the hinge then down the side through a hole in the side of the bed.

    The strut on the right of the rear window has a switch that will activate the dome light when open.

    Mine never came with clamps. I had a plastic keeper with the nut molded into it that slid into the bed rails. Very sweet
