CB radio peeps

I'll probably be putting a CB back in the truck, plans are for the Cobra 75 so I can put the guts somewhere hidden, 3ft firestik on a hood bracket and the fire ring cable for that bracket. They only sell it in an 18' length and I'll need maybe 6'. Can I cut off the radio end of the connector and put a new one on without any funny radio issues if I get a new connector for that end?

 

Speaking of pushing... couldn't get the green atv to start a few times today, pushed it out and back into the garage. Then remembered that you shut the fuel switch off when you parked it.

Yeah... but he never did, so I dont. And didn't think of it until the end of the day after trying to start it quite a few times.

 

Did this yesterday, yes you can just have to solder a new one on. I ordered the 18' and it comes un-soldered comes with a connector. I just cut to the size i needed.

 

They sell a 9' cable too. But to answer your question, yes you can cut and install a new connector.

 

You going to toytec today? Could throw the roof channel thing in the truck if so.

Unfortunately not....

It's smoother at all speeds, but the 60mph front end shimmy is still there like day one.

Having them balanced and rotated again as we speak, and going to try swapping the wheels/tires for known good stuff at some point to completely eliminate that. But it's mostly still at square one; which I am beyond thrilled about.



Was really hoping it would solve the issue... It's not an issue i plan on dealing with for the duration of the trip though, so hopefully i can figure it out soon since it's coming down to the keep it or sell it time.

 

Yeah I was lazy today. No one got my tag today.
