Another Aspie here. Enjoyed reading through this thread and seeing several others here on the spectrum.

To echo the others on here, I'm very OCD as well. Symmetry is a big one for me. I'll spend a ridiculous amount of time making my space or things perfectly symmetrical. I'm also very meticulous, and can easily and regularly get lost for hours getting immersed into reading, doing, or perfecting something.

The biggest thing my wife hates is lack of emotion and apathy. She says I only have three emotions: happy, angry, and "nothing". Working in medicine, empathy is supposed to be a big part of my job, but I'd argue not seeing patients as people makes me better at what I do. I love solving puzzles, which is what someone with a new medical problem is to me. Luckily I take in sciences, including medicine, very easily.

Sensory overload is definitely a thing, too. It's not uncommon for me to walk around the house with ear plugs in. I can also only handle social interactions for so long. My de-stressors are running (being away from people- I also tend to go through various math problems/calculations while running) and sitting in the bathroom listening to the shower run (similar to the aforementioned sensory therapy).

That gets to me sometimes. For instance, if unoccupied, the passenger's seat in my Tacoma MUST be adjusted the same as the driver's seat. Otherwise it drives me insane and I try to adjust it at stop lights.

What I can't stand is the seatbelt buzzer in my Tacoma. My boss's 45-50 pound Boxer/Labrador mix (Boxador) sets the damn thing off if the passenger seatbelt is not fastened. Same with placing random shit on the front seat with the seatbelt buckled...

Wow, after reading this there are SOOOO many things that make me want to take the test and see where I fall on the scale. What got my attention though is I think my nephew is definitely on the scale. This has been verified by my mom's husband who is a speech pathologist (I'm not sure how that qualifies him to make the diagnosis without formal testing, but he's positive about it) and my aunt is also a speech pathologist (authored many books, coaches new anchors, Leeza Gibbons and countless actors, and big name singers/musicians) who has said the exact same thing. The sad thing is that any time any of us has approached my sister about it, she denies anything. They spent more time pulling him out of school and home schooling him than actually helping him. He's 23 or 24 now and I believe that if she had gotten him help while in school it would have made a HUGE difference in his learning environment and in his options growing up. Right now he works like four hours a week, yes you read that right, working in a little deli shop. I think his dad is on the scale somewhere as well. The whole thing makes me kind of sad really because of the help he could have gotten. Maybe at 23 it's not too late, but like I said, my sis won't listen to anything. You don't say anything that she will take as an insult no matter how well meaning you may intend to be.

Honestly, I live in that area, don't use that station - ever - but have never seen these FW1 folks in Dtown. I did run into them in Conshohocken last year when I was at REI and when the dude approached me I said no thanks. He pressed, I asked him if I stuttered and he walked away. Maybe I'm just lucky?

No wonder they're going under if it was being run so poorly for so long.

A guy who used to bartend at the nightclub where I now work owns a Vespa. A nearby bar (not the one where I work) has a walk-up basement. One night while he was bartending, some drunk guys thought it would be funny to roll his scooter down the stairs of the aforementioned basement. He comes outside at like 2am tired and ready to go home, and he's wondering "Didn't I park my scooter here?" It didn't take him long to find the missing Vespa, and surprisingly the scooter only had cosmetic damage! He rolled it back up the stairs, hopped on, and rode home. He never caught the guys who did it, but luckily his insurance paid for what little damage there was to the scooter.

He cares about his scooter like I care about my Tacoma!

I LOATHE people who drive drunk!

Me? I'm the guy who will shamelessly drink you under the table (at my 28th birthday party, I did a straight shot of Ketel One and washed it down with Harp lager), but who's smart enough to call Uber or Lyft (I have both apps on my phone; Used Lyft for the first time last night) at the end of the night!

One thing I hate about Doylestown after it snows is that the plow crews do a lousy job, and the streets become narrower as a result of people having to park further from the curb:
