I have a small pork shoulder on electric smoker@230degree, should be done by dinner time :) Im smoking with apple chips and added a little liquid smoke to the rub with about a cup of apple juice to baste itself.

My one friend is an avid mushroom hunter. I still won't eat them, or any mushroom for that matter.

oh you can dehydrate them and save them for a later date as well. I have about a half of a mason jar full from couple years back, we had a good season. Last year was a low yield year so we only had a handful of fresh.

they grow out of poop so....;) but yeah I dont know anyone that knows about other types of wild shrooms. I surely dont want to get sick or die but I know the morels quite well so even with them if Im skeptical about one I just toss it. Because usually there are plenty more around so its not like losing one or two would hurt anything.

Morel hunting is huge here. Trespassers everywhere this time of year - they can justify it in their heads I guess, since they're just taking mushrooms.

Found these on public land last year. Haven't been this year - too busy fishing and hunting the weekends.

Nice! I like them in in spaghetti sauce...my mom used to make them in just a tomato sauce with some onions and sauted. That was some good eating.

I dont think its going to get the bark I would like but hopefully this shoulder should be good eating. I have a few more hours left on it.

Maple fatty rubbed in cayenne, Chipotle chili powder, and paprika. I've never done one this way.
