i recently purchased weather tech mats for my 2016 Tacoma. Am I seeing things or do they use a new type of material making them. Very hard to clean and keep clean. My old ones in another vehicle I have seem of a different type of plastic/rubber material. I have the gray and boy they are urs to clean.

    Pic?

Can't figure they'd change their materials.

Grey is a hard color to keep clean, either way.

My 2017 Weathertechs seem the same as my 2012 Weathertechs, material-wise. Shit gets ground into them day after day, I personally don't expect them to clean up nice, just to keep the dirt and fluid contained and protect what's underneath.

Same here, the WT ones that are in my 2016 are very cheap compared to the ones that I had in my 2014. Am going to change and go to the Husky brand. WT is spending more money on tv ads than on their products !!

So how about options for those of us with the 6mt? I have Husky liners in my 2014 and I contacted them about a set for the soon to be mine 2017 ACLB V6 6mt and they have no plans to offer them for this configuration. What gives? I loved the coverage of the Husky x-act contour and did not like the fit of the weathertechs.

Been there ! - I communicated with Weathertech for a long period of time...They kept telling me that they did not have them for my 2016 M.T. but would be making them....but never did. What bothered me was I kept getting their advertising. (grumble) I bought a set of Husky's...Wow want a difference. Love them...And they clean up and don't stain (mine are black) Clay/K7CR

My issue is I don't want or like the weathertech mats. The Husky x-act contour rubber mats fit my 2014 perfectly and the coverage is great. Husky isn't going to be making them for the 6mt.

Yeah, but are you talking about the Husky x-act contour or the weatherbeater? As far as I can tell from looking at their website and emailing them they do not make the x-act contour for the manual transmission.

Mine are the Husky - Weather Beater- Don't recall why I did not buy the other model. I take this truck to rough to get to mountain top transmitter sites a couple of times a week and track in a ton of debris perhaps the model you were looking at were designed differently so I passed?

I have a set of Weathertech in the wife's BMW. Don't care for the thin hard plastic. Prefer the Toyota mats over Weathertech.

I agree. 'cept I can't buy OE all weather mats for my '04 Highlander any more. All I do know is I prefer the more pliable type that has a bit of grip for your shoes.

I'll never buy the WeatherTechs again.

What's the difference between the two?
I have Husky weatherbeaters in my MT. They fit perfectly and don't move at all. When I ordered, I didn't realize they made another type. I guess I never noticed because they weren't available for the MT.

Only have the Huskys in the front. I bought Maxliner for the rear because it was half price and looked the same as the expensive ones. It stays in place too.

The reason I didn't go with Weathertechs is because they didn't have the little nipples on the bottom.

The x-act contour are more rubbery and not slippery. I would prefer them and it irks me to no end that Husky is ignoring those of us that prefer to row gears just like Toyota.
