it seems to be making contact with the motor for the power rear window first

Ouch. It was never foreseen to have a power window motor in the way. I'm looking forward to your solutions.

if you have the capability, you might try cutting a section on 3 sides and folding out a flap over the actuator to give it a bit of bump protection.

Good news is that i got to work on it today... simply traced the area around the window motor and cut it out with a dremel. I'll revisit it later to smooth down the edges. Bad news is that as i was about to put in the second bolt into the top middle seat back anchor i dropped it into that little well on the plastic back part of the seat. Sooo does anyone have the specs for that bolt?

As in could you move or modify that bracket to get a little more clearance?

It looks like easily "beatable" formable stamped steel.

I used 25mm long m8-1.25 socket head cap screws on mine. I attached over a layer of damplifier pro, so you might be able to get by with a 20mm length

Gotcha, i do not doubt that you may be able to given enough time and the right tools. You can't tell from the pictures but that motor has only a 1/8 in. spacing from the cab wall, not enough space if i did push it back all the way to clear the panel. A better metal worker than me could have probably modded the panel itself.

Can you snap a pic from the side, how much does the motor stick through the hole you cut?

I'm wondering if a small spacer behind the top of the rack would address this.

    Rules before cutting.
    - think
    - google for better ideas
    - sleep on it
    - think one more time

Then cut if it's the only option

I'm suspecting a 1/8 to 1/4 spacer in the 2 middle bolts would do it.
It would have a very slight arc, but no cutting

These look great. Just have to make a decision. Build my own or get one of these. I need to many parts right now.
