As the title says, I believe I found a lift I want. Spent months researching on and off and now when I'm trying to finalize info on the lift, headstrong is gone til May

Maybe I can get some feedback from you guys ( yes another lift thread) I have a 17' TRD OR AC. My goal is to get as close as I can to 3" using 888 coils and 3rd gen 5100s and a Dakar Leaf pack along with new UCAs. I'll also be doing the ECGS (?) Bushing replacement. My goal is to effectively use tall and skinny tires. I'm trying to decide between 270/75/18 or 255/80/17.

So if you could please give me some feedback or alterations on the info I have given that'd mean a lot to me.

I was told they aren't accepting orders or emails about lifts until they are finished moving

I had trouble sourcing parts in the past. There are other vendors who offer competitive pricing and service as well. Headstrong of course is great but you could also look at wheelers or low range offroad if youre in a pinch.

I went ahead and did, but am still looking for a go, no go on my setup idea. Might also add that I may install a lo-pro front bumper way down the road

This all sounds good to me, mind you you can probably easily fit those tires now and/or with less lift. I'm running 255/75/17s and they're quite small on a stock height 4Runner. If I were to do it again, I'd go with 255/80/17s - and I plan to do just that when I install the lift of similar height to what you're wanting (about 2.5 inches, in my case).

I think you're also on the right track with the 5100s - I wouldn't personally spring for the OME shocks, I had both 5100s and OME shocks on my Tacoma before it got totaled, and I didn't notice anything to be gained with the OME shocks. The 5100s are significantly less expensive, also, so that was a learned lesson for me unfortunately.

I think you'll love Dakars, too.. of all the setups and parts/mods I did to my Tacoma, Dakars were hand down the best mod I did. I will always recommend them!

I was in the same boat with @Firebird . Was ready to start moving forward and I threw the phone down in disgust. I said now that I'm ready this happens.

I actually agree with the OME shocks and 5100's. They're still an noticeable improvement for sure but I wish I would have gone one step further and went ahead and went with some 2.5 setups. 3'' OME lift with 888's, 90021 sport shocks with SPC UCA's and dakars in the rear. 255/80/17 IMG_8244.jpg

My bad, I actually meant 255/80/17. But thank you for the info, I may have finally found my setup!

Would getting 6112 in the front and as the above mentioned give me close/ at the 3" mark?

I did hs's bilstein 5100s + 887s with hs aal. Overall I ended up with about 2.5" of lift on my AC. It has been a really good up to this point. The off roading I do is primarily light trails and soft sand so I didn't really think I needed anything too over the top. It has been noticeably better both on and off road.

Do you have a front shot so I can see the width of the tire and a bit of the front

Definitely go with 255/80/17. Way more tire options in the 17" range should you wish to change to something else down the line. Plus, more sidewall will give a comfier ride. That's probably the tire size I'll end up with when my current set is used up.

You can check out 34x10.5 KO2s, too.
