    How do you like that style tent? My GF and I have been thinking of trading in our small folding tent for one like that (but not automatic). With the longer roof of the 4runner, I think having room for the bigger tent footprint would make it nice.

    How does the awning attach to that one?

    Haven't tried the annex room. Tent setup is easy. I like it so far. See how it does in the field.

    @sytfu510

    Random question here. I saw that you had at one point a Truck Fridge in your truck, I think? Saw it on Expedition Portal forums... what made you change to an ARB one?

    Only got one trip in with it so far. Setup is a breeze, did do some minor mods (changed buckles for cover) but it's nice. Comfortable, is a bit large 85" long. Amazingly it's light. Aluminum frame I guess. Motor has held up, open and closed it a bunch of times showing people. Takes about a 1min to setup and or close depending. Can't stuff a whole lot in with the hardshell. The Softshell has more room to leave stuff inside.

    Also quite liking that tent. Curious at how it seals with the sand/water while driving. Looks very similar to an XTM tent available over seas. Almost says it's an exact copy.

    Anyways, keep us posted on your thoughts. I'm in the verge of buying a RTT but so any choices and I dislike the folding type.

    Bed rack is custom built by @JLee (Bay Area Metal Fabrication)

    Hey Steve, I did add some rubber trim around the bottom to help "seal" it up more. The bigger 55 series uses a soft cover, but has buckles instead of zippers so it opens fast too. Dust/dirt does get in though, so I ensure to zip up everything when I close the tent.

    Good to know, I am on the fence about buying one at the moment. I was going to go with Alu Cab, but I dislike their attachement methods and it would have stuck to far out the back of the truck.

    How are you finding the mattress? Comfortable? Similar to other RTT's? Are you able to put another mattress ontop and close it up?

    Sorry for all the questions, just debating purchasing in the next couple of weeks.

    Thanks

    Steve
