Did he get a resolution before he started posting here? From the way I read this thread, it wasn't until he came here did he get some communication. I did read about the other forum, and I agree if it was handled there, there was no need to stir it up here, but if he didn't then dam right, shout it from the roof tops.

Honestly, how hard is it to package parts off a list, and double-check them.

Just seems a few vendors on TW take care of the main item, but take little effort on the supporting parts, then have to expend more time and effort mailing missing parts to a disgruntled customer.

I agree and depending on your personal flexibility this can be acceptable...or not. I do understand the frustration as lack of parts has happened to me like many. I guess its the solid product that the Prinsu rack is that lets me look over that. Now if this rack was just one of the same designs as another...then obviously I might be more strict about getting everything first time out.

If there is somewhat of a consistent problem with parts missing, then I would hope that the vendor might look into a better QC/checking process for future customers.

I went in on the group buy and while it did take a little longer than expected, I didn't mind because I knew he had a lot of orders and some family stuff going on. My only issue is the shipment was missing the wind noise strip. I contacted Zach the day I got the package (Jan 16) to let him know and he told me (Jan 17) he would get one sent out.

March 16, still nothing so I followed up with another message. No response.
April 7, still nothing and no response so I sent another message... No response.

Still missing the noise reduction strip and haven't heard from Zach since Jan 17.

    :(

I know this post is old, but I got you beat! Lol right at 52 weeks for a headlight retrofit from a vendor here to get me my prepaid headlight order successfully to me. Full price deal too, not part of any group buy which made it a little more sour.

I got my rack delivered 2 weeks ago and 3 out of four of the silver bar threads were untapped. One phone call the next morning and I was offered either another one correctly threaded or I could go out and purchase a 1/4x20 tap set and they would reimburse me for it. I chose to have a new one shipped to me and like magic- I had a 2-day shipping notification in my inbox that afternoon. They also told me to keep the untapped on just incase I ever needed another bar.

I call that pretty damn decent customer service.

To be transparent, if they asked you to send it back they’d have spent 4x the value of that piece of extrusion just to have it back in their hands to be repaired.

It isn’t worth doing when the other options they gave you are much less expensive.

I say just get a tap and die for that. Worst case though I doubt you would have issue if that side missed one of the two bolts assuming the other side had two taped holes.

If anybody recalls the absolute breakdown of PrInsu when they went black for way too long before announcing CBI was taking over (and dealing with the complete mess made at that point), these are pretty small annoyances.

CBI isn’t perfect by any means, but y’all are still riding a high wave compared to the low point.

Agreed man guys had some pretty sad prinsu stories back in the day where at one point people expected to have issues when they received their racks.

I ordered a cabrac last week during the flash sale. Got delivered yesterday and I mounted it up last night. Packaging was excellent and all parts were included (several extra bolts, washers, etc.). They even included some hardware to secure gear on the rack. No complaints on my end.

CBI has been doing an exceptional job with the PRINSU lineup. Taking it to a level that I didn't have the time to do myself and it is good to see. I knew they would it just took a little longer to get things transitioned to them than I wish it would have and some customers got stuck waiting during the lag. They way they have things set up now though issues should be non existent to minimal and quickly resolved.
