Got a 2011 Tacoma a year and a half ago. Really great shape and really great deal. As soon as I bought it (from a private seller) thoughts of someday "trickin it out" a bit ran through my brain. It was pretty plain but nice nonetheless. Good [;ain "Canvas" to get started with. Well in the past few months I`ve actually finally been doing some things little by little and it`s starting to look pretty good. I`ve gotten 99 percent my research and awesome info from this site and forum. Without this site I doubt if I could have accomplished as much as I did in the short time that I did it in and thank you all for the valuable help in getting me to the point where I am now. So far just in the last 60 days or so I`ve gotten and installed a Pro Comp coil over 3" lift kit(learned alot doing the lift by myself (my son Tim helped, thanks Tim!). DO NOT get the spring compression tool kit! Just spend the 30 bucks and have a shop squish the springs and put the shocks in. Much better and nicer. Used the aluminum blocks that came in the lift kit (soon to be replaced by the Add A Leaf I decided to get afterwards but haven`t put them in yet because I got a RECALL NOTICE from Toyota THE VERY DAY I took apart one leaf to install them the wife comes in with the mail and says I got a letter from Toyota. Yes a RECALL....on the LEAFSPRINGS! So I put it back together until the springs "come in" at my local Toyota dealer. YES I did call them and asked them if they could just "add the leaf" seeings how they were gonna replace it all anyway and after protesting an "extra charge", they said they`d do it for nothing...we shall see.) Added new Black Headlights. Added "Smoke" lower fog light lenses. Added Westin Nerf Bars to the sides. Added Westin Bull Bar. Added Westin LED fog lights to the Bull Bar. Added Chrome Billet Grill and tires and wheels will be delivered in just a couple more days from 4wheelparts (17x9 Mickey Thompson Baja Locks with brand spanking new BFG 285/70/17 T/A KO2`s and I wouldn`t have known to buy these or any of it without the help and research on size limits and the rest without first looking it all up and reviewing all of your all`s great discussions right here. Thank you all very much. Anybody have any questions feel free to ask. I`m glad to be a part of TacomaWorld! Thanks!

Welcome to the party Randy:thumbsup: Seems you've been lurking for quite some time, you've been on for over a year, but you've done your hw nonetheless. FYI, the leaf spring recall is normal, some users experienced leafs snapping and a couple reported punctured gas tanks because of it. It came down to Toyota replacing them under warranty even if it's past dealer warranty. They will be swapping out the 2 main leaf with single overload with a new 3 leaf with single overload pack. If the dealer is willing to install the add a leaf for free, do it. You should get something in writing about them doing it for free before you show up and hand them the keys to do the swap. lol and you'll be inducted into the Bro squad with those KO2's. Why specifically did you go with beadlocks? Is the truck 4x4? Hopefully also if you live in an area with lots of rain/snow you have already gotten the frame recall notice too and had the truck looked at for either a frame replacement or brush and re spray.
