285/75r16 KO2's, Baja XL 80's on CBI ditch brackets, TRD intake, opticoat pro, clear bra running the bottom sides, morimoto LEDs, all white LEDs inside, mounted shovel and axe above wheel well in the bed, linex'd the bed...
I never said they didn't. I said they were no problem. And that is the dam truth. Stop scaring this man out of making the right decision

Every pro owner I know is either happy with their 285s or regrets going smaller

    Is there another option?

This is funny to read. No rubbing what so ever they are the best. Oh wait, the do rub occasionally at certain conditions. There is a hit in power and mpg, but they look cool and that is all that matters, even the OP asked if there was anything that needed to be done...

    285s!!!! No other option

After spending $50k on a truck if 1-2 mpg is going to dictate your decision than you should probably reevaluate your life

Mine is same color as yours. I love the rims and don't want to change them. also don't want to lift it any more than what it is.

So you have 285/75R16! What bland BF KO2 or Toyo OC M/T?

Did you change the spare. and finally how much you paid for them installed?

    Like, so many.
The 265/75/16 with aggressive tires will look nice. They will definitely not rub, they'll look good, and they'll perform well on road and off.

As much of a non-fan I am of @smitty99 (at least I'm being honest?), he has a point here. We aren't trying to scare the op away but he does deserve a straight up answer especially from us TRD Pro guys. Stating that some rub happens right off the bat would've avoided all of this, especially having @smitty99 chime in... and that would have been a benefit to us all.

I'm on the same page as you! Loved the rims as well and didn't want to do any modifications that really changed the truck or that was permanent.

I went with the ko2s. With the warranty that will cover them from anything no questions asked I paid $984 out the door from discount tire.

Haven't done the spare... Been meaning to find a cheap whatever 33 on Craigslist for the spare. Want a 255 if I can find one so it doesn't hang down too low.

My mind is metric and from what I have understood sofar:

    Width(mm)/Aspect Ratio(%)Wheel Diameter(Inches)

    A.
    265/70R16
    Tire Sidewall Height= (26.5cm)*(70%)= 18.55cm
    Total Wheel Height= (18.55cm*2)+(16"*2.54)= 77.74cm ~ 30.61"

    B.
    265/75R16
    Tire Sidewall Height= (26.5cm)*(75%)~ 19.87cm
    Total Wheel Height= (19.87cm*2)+(16"*2.54)= 80.39cm ~ 31.65"

    C.
    285/75R16
    Tire Sidewall Height= (28.5cm)*(75%)~ 21.37cm
    Total Wheel Height= (21.37cm*2)+(16"*2.54)= 83.39cm ~ 32.83"

    Differences in height are:
    A to B = 2.65cm ~ 1.04"
    A to C = 5.65cm ~ 2.22"

    Differences in width are:
    A to B = 0.00cm = 0.00"
    A to C = 2.00cm ~ 0.79"

Here's a calculator with the the difference...in metric. Even if they fit and don't rub, because of the height change of the tire you're adding 9mm of negative scrub radius.

Because you like the rims, I would suggest Bora 3/4"(19mm) spacers to get rid of the 9mm of negative scrub.
It'll net 10mm of positive scrub, but, it's better than 9mm of negative scrub, IMO. Just make sure to run enough positive toe.

Unfortunately, this would probably push it out far enough in the steering arc to cause rubbing.

Maybe the best of both world would be: Toyo Open Country M/T 265/75R16 with zero modification/zero rubbing.

    Lol.

The hate some of you non-pro owners have towards pro owners is hilarious.

    Get over it.

How about 275/70/16 sized BFG K02s? They are D rated and a few lbs lighter then the E rated 265/75/16 KO2s. I havent heard anybody really discussing these tires as an option.
