Here's the fitment note right from Undercover's website:

UX42014 Toyota Tacoma 5 ft Bed, (Tie down cleats not usable with cover installed)

    Exactly.
Now I'm probably wrong, but I took that to mean when you take the cover off(it was also advertised it is very easy to remove due to only having 2 thumb screws at the front) that then the bed rails would then be able to fit the tie downs . I imagined they wouldn't fit with the cover on because the cover sat too flush with the bed .

But then again like I was asking above from someone who installed it, if the covers rails completely bolt over and cover our rails than yeah, you would need to remove the rails not only the cover to use our rails....

Hopefully since Shadow is getting back today he can hook us up with some pics. Too risky to blind buy the cover without confirmation.

Here is a pic of mine. As you can see, the rails are covered. I don't use the cleats anyway.

If/when you buy the hole adapters can you post them up? I too just bought this tonneau and was hoping I don't have to drill the holes bigger. Thx!

Bought them at Home Depot for $3 each and fit perfectly. Plumbing department.

Same rails as mine I should have said some areas of the rails are exposed and can be used with the cover removed. Apologize for any wrong info.

    Awesome thanks.
It's not the end of the world for me if I can't use the bed rails but if I can mount them at a certain position to where I can get one tie down in on each rail I'd be in heaven.
Can't wait to get my cover in tommorow :p

Good idea for the tie downs. Unfortunately I really want to keep that rail, so I'll have to go with the MX4. Kinda bummed because I liked the look of this one a little better. ...

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually started with looking at the leer. I later decided I wanted a matte finish as opposed to the gloss most hard covers have. That's why I was excited about this cover as it checked all the boxes. Doesn't the leer also have some sticking issues with the latches?

Did you end up using those two small square foam pieces? The ones that are supposed to go on the tail gate? I'm not sure what those are used for.

Those are actually for the bulkhead not the tailgate. It seals the gap towards the front of the bed.
