Anyone have experience shipping heavy shit such as a steel front bumper (160 lbs ). Looking to ship from Phoenix to n/w Washington state. Trying to find a half decent rate from a freight company. Any suggestions?

From what I've gotten is that fed ex usually is a no go, and some have told me that ups is cheaper but from experience US postal service has gotten me the best prices, but for sure go UPS then try US Postal Service. Hope that helps.

I bought a vintage guitar amp on eBay once. The seller shipped it via Greyhound. It arrived- 6 weeks later and destroyed. Seems it traveled from Florida to California and back to Georgia.

I used to sell a lot of wheels. I always used Greyhound. Never had a problem, and prices were usually half of what FEDEX or UPS wanted.

Just found out you could ship via greyhound about a week ago. Arrived next day to Oregon, and it was a us offroad winch mount. Weighed in at 80lbs.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I've used Fastenal to ship a complete suspension, including leafs. Strap it securely to a pallet. It's store to store, so don't expect it to be doorstep delivery. Greyhound is good for durable things like wheels and coilovers (not guitar amps), but won't work for a bumper (too big).

You could always see if anyone here would be willing to do the TW Express Shipping Two-Step. There is a thread for SoCal-to-NorCal/PNW Express, for things just like yours. I'll bet there's even a PHX-to-SoCal Express thread, too. Check the regional forums.

All else fails, see if someone on Craigslist is willing to haul it on their way north.

I've used fedex to ship a motor from California to South Dakota but I had to drive to the FedEx terminal.

Had never heard of fasenal doing shipping. I'll be calling them tomorrow. Good feed back online about their services. Thanks for the lead.

Any carrier that will do freight. Also, I've used "UShip" before. Might take a while but someone moving a car/truck/boat/etc headed where you need it to go will often toss it in their bed for little money
