Had a 2001 5 speed MR2s. One of my favorite cars to drive. Not as fast as my other cars but so much fun driving this. I miss it!

Haha exactly. It's all good, for $3,500 it was a pretty good deal. I just bought it because I've never had a convertible before and won't have the option to buy one for a while now that I have my 2016 Taco in the states.

For $3,500 I'd say you got a heck of a deal. You know what wheels those are? They look like 17s but I'm curious on the brand/model too. I have a 2003 MR-2 Spyder.

Shit that's a good price, it's located in Japan right? How does that work out for you, having two different cars in two different countries? Just asking for future reference, I'm considering AF (I know, you're Marine:p) and I'm weary of how transfers work if you were to transfer the MR-S back to the states after deployment?

Unfortunately I can't transfer my MR-S back to the states because it is not old enough. A car must be 20 years old or older to be considered a classic and approved for transfer from Japan to the states. As far as transferring a car from the states, I wouldn't know, but highly recommend just buying one when you get out here. These cars are insanely cheap and when Marines sell to each we usually drop the prices even lower. I'm probably going to end up selling my car to a friend for $2,500. A car as fun as this shouldn't cost so much.

They are 17's. OZ Racing Superleggera. They came with the car, there is mild rubbing on hard corners, but I decided to leave them on as I'm only out here for another 45 days. The car also came with the stock wheels and 2 good tires/2 worn down tires.
