No worries dude! Good to hear you went with off grid!!

I just did a week trip down south, and my fridge and lights were running constantly every night, and I never had a problem! It was awesome to not worry at all about it, being in some remote spots!

What mounting plate did you use for your Switch Pro install, an do you have a link for purchase?
    Thanks in advance!

Hey @HeliMedic have you looked into offering DC-DC chargers as an option? (Hope I'm not asking a noob question here.) All I've researched is making me lean this way over a VSR, however nice the blue-sea one is.

Not sure if you received an answer to this but yes I have.

Both batteries in the front driver side bumper and the single compressor in the passenger side rear section above the brake booster. If you have an off-road you more then likely placed your aux batt where the brake booster is.

That being said, I think you can fit it by the windshield washer fluid reservoir as well.

    Regards

    Steve

Finally got to installing my side by side dual battery kit.

The kit is great and Matt @HeliMedic has done a great job.

I know the engine bay is a little dirty but here are the pics from my install.

nice work, which battery are you running the ground off of to the frame? Looks like your running it of the main battery versus the auxiliary battery. Might be wrong on that though.

I know when I installed mine a few weeks ago it was hard to tell from the instructions/image, took me a bit of studying the image until I saw where one cable went. The hardest part of the install for me was the battery plate. Wish I had tiny hands.

Yes I ran the ground from the main battery. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to that?

I didn't really have any instructions just the pictures from the beginning of this thread.

The plate was a little tricky but some duct tape on my pinky finger worked great for holding the nuts while I got them started.

My mess is starting to come together. I ordered a breaker strip to help clean things up.. I hate cutting lighting harnesses, but I have so much extra cable that it's starting to intrude on space...

Just wanted to post my set up so far and reiterate the quality of products from off-grid. Went with 2 deep cycle AGM 27F batteries (X2 power) from batteries and bulbs. A little tight on the house battery but everything fits (I highly doubt a group 31 would fit in this located on 3rd gen Tacomas). I will be adding my fuse panel (power from house) shortly to run power to the bed of the truck.

My only question at this time is regarding the ML-ACR. For now, I have opted to not wire the in cab switch. The ACR is grounded to the chassis and I can hear it connect the batteries shortly after starting the truck (Volts for both are above 13). After shutting down the truck, the ACR does not immediately isolate the batteries. I checked back roughly an hour later and the ACR had indeed isolated the batteries. My question is - will the ACR only isolate the batteries after voltage has dropped below a threshold after turning off the truck?

@mightiestmouse Yes, it will isolate after enough voltage drop, mine is usually about ten minutes after turning the truck off.

I'm not a hundred percent sure on that. They are run in parallel so the aph increase, voltage stays they same. In series connections it would matter. Parallel, I do not think it does.

Anyone whom knows more able to answer this? I'm curious now to, because mine runs if the aux battery as per the pic the Matt sent me.
