Crazy game in Houston. I didn't start watching the game until middle of the second quarter with the Warriors up 22. They then proceeded to suck and the Rockets got within 3. But the Rockets were held to 39% shooting. Refs whistled just about every time the Rockets had the ball. Curry nearly fouled out. Green was injured in the 3rd. Came back after a time. But Harden was 5 for 20 in the game. Warriors hung in there to pick up their 60th Win.

Despite the NBA schedulers screwing the Warriors again (Last 6 games against the Spurs, in San Antonio, have been the second game of back to backs. Last night a brutal game against the Rockets) they managed to turn around a completely demoralizing 1st Quarter in which they were down 29-7. Still without Durant.

Warriors fight a good battle with the Washington Bullets. Yeah yeah yeah the Wizards. Political Correctness run amok. Anyway, Wizards are a good team, but lose to Warriors who run away in the 4th. Curry was on fire. Both at the three point line, and in the paint, on layups.

Warriors scuffle early, take out the Timberwolves in the 3rd quarter. Hold on for the victory on Thompsons 40+. Win streak at 12.

Warriors outlast the Phoenix Suns. Warriors sat Andre Iguodala, and Draymond Green. Durant still not back from injury. Thompson went cold. Curry steps up. 13 straight for wins, and clinching of the Number 1 Seed.
Also, Warriors set a new NBA Record with their third straight season of 65 or more wins. 3 games remaining.

With the Number 1 Seed wrapped up the Warriors sit Curry. Bring back Durant. Crush the Pelicans. Two more tune up games before the Playoffs begin.

Jazz at Warriors. Thompson did not play. Jazz wanted the win. Needed the win. Warriors were on a 14 game win streak. Tough game all the way. Then Kerr sat Curry. The Draymond Green sat. Then Durant sat. Kerr left in the subs to see what they could do. Not enough against the Jazz starters. Warriors drop one.

Portland Game 1: All tied after three quarters. Warriors win with shut down defense and decent shooting in the 4th quarter. Draymond Green is a Defensive mad man.

Game #2

Warriors take game two 100-81. Very close game in the 1st half. Neck and neck. Both Warrior guards, and both Portland Guards shot poorly. Warriors crushed it in the 1st quarter, but gave most of it back in the 2nd. Then help Portland to 12 points in the 3rd quarter. Ran away with it from there. Warriors three headed Center squad combined for 33 pts, 10 rebs, 4 assts, and 5 blocks.

Before the game, all indications were that the Warriors would have a let down. Stats showed they sucked in Game Three of play off series. Durant was still out. Along with Barnes and Livingston, and Looney. And Kerr was not going to be on the bench, but in pain in his hotel room. The Blazers center was expected back and that would be significant. And being outscored by nearly 17 in the 1st quarter, it looked like the predictions were true. The Blazer guards were on fire, and the Warrior guards couldn't buy a bucket. But, in the second half, the Warrior defense finally smartened up, and Thompson and Curry began to hit some shots. McCaw is proving to be an unexpected bonus for the Warriors.

Warriors came out an crushed it in the 1st quarter, scoring 45. Lillard was the only Blazer who had any effect. Golden State lead by as many as 33 points. Durant played 20 minutes, or so, and was very good. Impressive shut down of Portland by the defense.

4-0 sweep earns them several days of rest.

 

It was sloppy, but Game 1 against the Utah Jazz was a victory. Curry was hot. Green was hot. For three quarters the game stayed within 2-10 points. Then the Warriors pushed it out past 20 in the 4th. Garbage time followed.
