I have had a lot of interest in HI for a cheap radio knob mod that I make in my garage. I am just a hobbyist but have had 100% positive reviews. I would offer a big discount if someone bought enough to justify shipping a bulk lot in a large protected priority mail envelope. I have a few people in HI that are waiting for my reply on deliveries. My shipping method per pair, via a standard envelope and stamps, has ranged from $1 to $3 each pair. I figure for a $13.50 envelope it would save the hassle of people receiving a battered envelope from USPS transit. They are rubber so the grips are not affected. This is simply sharing a fix. It is not a money maker by any means. Basically machining each one for a buck labor. If no interest then thanks for reading. They fit NAV screen radios ONLY on 2016-2017 Tacoma, 2015-2017 Sienna, 2016-2017 Prius and some 2016-2017 Corolla with 7/8" or 22 mm diameter radio knobs. Custom made in pairs to maintain sizing consistency. They work well and eliminate the accidental phone call while adjusting volume. They look gray in pix but are absolutely black in color.
Note these enhance the stock knobs and are not competing with those that manufacture and sell replacement knobs. These are simply a cheap functional fix. If you want nice replacement radio knobs I suggest you check out the ones made by Hondo Garage.installed pic 1.jpg installed pic 2.jpg finished pair.jpg final machining.jpg

We stayed up at the cabins this weekend….definitely better thing to do. Always a good time and met new people. Kind of bummed on how the road is, easier access but if you dont mind theres still many trails and places to have fun with.
And who ever lost/left a 01-04 taco rim and tire on friday, I have it. I drove out friday morning and came back that night, so I know it was day time some time.

Howsit guys. I'm interested in test driving someone's 3rd Gen manual trans Tacoma. Our Hilo dealer can't seem to keep one in stock long enough for me to drive. Either they're pre-sold or sold in a day. I've been asking for months now. I'm willing to treat you to lunch for your troubles.

I just owned and sold a 2017 Tacoma TRD OR auto and I'm interested in possibly buying the manual trans, but don't want to buy one before trying it out. Either shoot me a PM or reply back here.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I was at Big Island Honda over the weekend and found they had a blue 2016 Tacoma there in MT. I test drove that.

Hey guys. Might not be the place for this (if so, delete my posts), but my wife and I are on island for a few days and I thought I'd see if y'all had any advice or could recomend things to check out.

We're not very into "touristy" things but if you know of good hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, etc. we'd love to know. Thanks!

Btw I'm not sure what I'm enjoying more: the island or all your beautiful tacos!:mudding:

Depends on what side you're on,

Hilo: Hawaiian Style Cafe and Kens (various), Kenichis and ChamCham (Korean), Lucy's(mexican), Ebisuas and Ocean Sushi Deli for (Sushi).

Beaches: Keaukaha has a strip of beaches: 4 miles, Onekahakah, Leleiwi, Richardsons

Waimea has some cool spots: Village Burger, Fish and Hog - more country with rolling hills and ranches

Kona side Beaches: Pinetrees, Hapuna and Makalawena (not rental car friendly) but you can park inside the gate and walk down.

Food: Kona Brewing Company and Sansei (Waikoloa) are a few of my spots.

Should definitely hit up Mauna Kea if you can stomach the lack of oxygen up at the summit and Waipio Valley is nice.

I'm not really one to hike but if you do park and plan to hike: Keep all valuables out of sight or take it with you i.e wallet, make sure your electronics have a full charge and or have a spare battery pack on your person. A lot of visitors get things stollen out of rentals, so just be aware. Other than that enjoy your visit.

    Cheers!

    since you're in kona...
do you like sushi? Shimaichi and Hayashi's. Umeke's and Da Poke Shack are alright, overpriced, but at least it tastes good. if you wanna drive south from kona, Manago's or Teshima's are winners too. or go all the way south and get some sweet bread from Punalu'u Bake Shop.

beach? pick one, all the sand beaches are on this side of the island lol. stay away from kua bay and hapuna if you're trying to avoid crowds though. north end of mahaiula or walk to makalawena is your best bet. if you go south, as in, south point, green sand beach or the black sand beach in Punalu'u (no forget the the bake shop too)

like @Solesource684 said, if you have a 4wd rental, Waipio valley.

go do the manta ray dive down in Keauhou. lots of tourists I've talked to seem to enjoy that experience.

Awesome. I'd love to check out the sushi but my wife is pregnant. Maybe I'll just make her watch me eat it haha

Green beach worth going to? We don't have a 4x4 so we'd have to walk.

ah, I can't remember how long it would be if you were to walk. maybe not worth it. plenty other places to see on this island. taking a drive to the south side might be pretty nice though. or up to kohala, around to pololū valley.

Man, if only you had your TACO here huh? lol

Checking out Volcano National Park is always fun. The crater rim drive is super nice, very beautiful and since your wife is preggo, might be the best since everything is close to the road. stay till night fall and enjoy the view of the stars over the crater.
Hayashi's is amazing. for a small hole in the wall place, you can't beat it for sushi. they have things that are not raw and you can choose what you want in the roll. Local fav brah. For you, i would get the ninja star and for your wife, Jenna roll. Also, there is a ramen shop in the Kona Commons that is good now. Try the Malasadas at Tex drive inn if you head to waipio valley.
