50% of the time it happens 100% every time.

270 miles on factory odometer with having it reprogrammed for the bigger tires?

 

Yes, I should have put disclaimer. As long as Carfax shows maintenance records.

Sucks because my wifes Tacoma will never have another service record in its life. Since I will be doing all the work.

 

I didnt reprogram anything just hit reset on the trip A and thats what it said when the light turned back on. Im running 255/80 now feels way lighter ill see what gas milage i get now

Did doing the touch ups on those scratches turn out looking just right? Im about to do some of this myself.

 

(Old tire diameter divided by new tire diameter) subtracted from 1 is how much larger your new tire is. For me is 0.07, so you then multiply your odometer reading by 1.07 to get the updated odometer reading. With the updated reading then divided by the gallons added.

What was your old tire size and new tire size?

 

285/75 now 255/80

 

Eh they are less noticeable now unless you get close! So that's nice, but it was kinda rough

 

You can shim for that.

You mentioned 270 miles to a full tank above. So if that's really a full tank (21.1 gallons) your mpg with the 255/80 tires is around 13.75. If you hit 270 miles and the fuel light came on and you filled up then, your estimated mpg would be 16.9.

 

I consider that pretty good if you ask me
