+1000 to that. I loved Jupp, I also hated Guardiola. I mean, you can't blame the board for wanting to bring Pep on. On paper, he was a fantastic prospective manager for us. That is, until he actually got to the club and started changing us into a BS, boring, tiki-taka club.

I know Jupp was planning on retiring, but there were definitely mentions of him wanting to do another season after the treble. He continued his planned retirement when the club informed him they already had pep under contract. Can't blame either party here, but yes, i agree, he'd have been great to keep.

I think Carlo will prove to be a good manager for us. His system has worked well and it's still in it's infant stage at the club. Some bad luck, bad refs and out of form players got to us this year. The fact that he can keep our more fragile players fit this far into a campaign is promising though, pep could neverdo that.

 

Well call me the contrarian yet once again, however!!!!

I do not see the Tiki-Taka as boring, in fact quite the contrary... making something look Too Simple and Too Easy and showing Too Much Patience (sure can be seen as boring) but reality is that is the sport in its purity... team work and let them come to you, kinda like boxing

Everyone loves and raves about english premier and oh wow how much fun it is, sure yea long ball passes and a one timer into the net sure great tons of fun... but reality is those are hail marry type plays, and though as fun as they are, the defense sucks half the time and all you get is this sprinting match on nonsense. kinda like the difference between NCAA scoring and NFL scoring.... defense is just not part of the game, just run and gun lol

I don't want either team to win. The Reds sitting in 3rd, 2 points ahead of City, 3 points ahead of United. A draw is the best outcome for this Liverpool supporter. Then again it might not matter at all. Liverpool have 4 games remaining all against the lower half of the table. We've seen they cannot perform against bottom feeders. Much work still to do! YNWA!
