    I believe so. I didn't do what you are doing before I got my rims. I wish I would have. If I could do it again I would go with 0 offset. I would be able to fit 285's with about the same out of trimming. I don't know what is worst not knowing about TW or knowing about TW. This site is a money pit. Lol

    What wheels are you running? Just curious. The wheels I want are 17x9 -12 offset 4.5 backspacing. Up in the air for what tire and size I want right now.

    So this is my biggest confusion when it comes to wheels. 0 offset would bring the entire wheel +12mm closer to the vehicle, give you 5" of backspacing on the wheel, but then wouldn't you rub the suspension more? That extra half inch now sits on the inside of the wheel well rather than sticking out. I guess with 265's its not as big of a deal, but if say I wanted to go 275 or 285, I'd imagine the 0 offset would rub more... right?

    The wheels I like have +20, +1, or -12 options for offset

    No - offset would rub more. Negative offset sticks out further.

    They stick out but not sure I would say 2". Maybe in the rear not the front. Running the same setup. Now I have to go check and see how much. :boink:

    I have OEM hard flaps. There's also the vented piece that's in front of the front wheels. Thanks for the responses I'm just trying to get this nailed down.

    With a 5" back space on a 9" wheel you probably would be very close to rubbing suspension
    As of now I'm running a 8" wheel 4.5 b/s 265/70/17 no rubbing or trimming
    A good alignment can help out as well with rubbing
    You're way better off with a 4.5 b/s IMO than with a 5" b/s
    If you want to go 285's
