A trick I've heard/seen is to dial down the sensitivity of the camera movements... so that it doesn't pan so fast, but also so it slowly stops rather than jerks to a stop. I've done tons of research on the Mavic as that's what I'm looking at buying and that's one of their top tips, and man... it makes a huge difference.

    @1MK great video:thumbsup:

awesome, that's what really has me going for the Mavic. looked heavily at the Phantom 4 Pro but the increase in picture quality wasn't worth the sacrifice in size and portability. I'm hoping to have mine by the end of July... but I have a few truck mods that are ahead of it, topper (to put the tent on), lift, tires, gears...

Any experience with the go pro Karma? I've been eyeing it since it was announced but in all reality my camera list to too long as it is to afford a drone. I am freelance photo retoucher and it seems I am always in need of computer gear, cuts into my camera budget. :(

I've heard bad things just from looking into buying their stock. The Karma is widely believed to be the reason their shares have been dropping in the last year. It's apparently pretty defective

I had the Karma and then it was recalled. The DJI Mavic is better in every way, with only a slight advantage to the Karma with the controller.

The camera is better on the Mavic too. You get flat horizons vs curved on the Karma. You get the added gimbal with the Karma, but not worth the loss of the added technology in the Mavic. Both are super easy to fly.

I would have stayed with the Karma if they didn't recall it, but now I have a free GoPro and a better drone.

Ah bummer to hear, I knew their stock has been failing but didn't know that they were having so many issues with their drone. Thanks for the info.

Stock is a combo of delayed releases and recalls.

It's down like 90% from last year. Goldman decided now would be a good time to tell their investors to sell GoPro. Haha took long enough.

Selfie sticks are reason enough for go pro to fail in my opinion but honestly they offered a product everyone wanted, it's hard to see how they went so wrong.

    Don't do it
I was about to say this for the most part. Go pro will struggle as less people buy them. Big appeal was waterproof, but now phones are.

I do like the array of mounts for off roading though

I think what the real question most go pro users ask is, "why doesn't my edit look like something from Mind Spark, I bought a $300 camera?" hahaha

Sweet rig! The tweaking never ends, what would be the fun in a perfect set-up?

Yeah. I bought last year when it started tanking thinking it would rebound and it didn't. Most are predicting that it's going to fall further. It's only 8 bucks right now though so I'm still tempted because I don't see them going out, but I don't have a bunch of free cash to mess with on a gamble right now.

I use my old cell phone as my dash cam. I disable all other features and just use it as a wifi device for when I get good footage and upload it to cloud storage.

Its a Galaxy Note 3 and records in 1080p, but the biggest advantage over the GoPro is image stabilization. I still dont see why its not in the GoPro.

And the quality gets even better on days I use my current cellphone, Note 5.
