Yeah too much mall crawling lol, but really based on where I drive and park I would never hit a curb. Im assuming rock or something from last weekend.

lol never know sometimes. I know out in Troy NY they actually have some serious curbs that will fuck a tire or wheel up.
But yeah looks like got up against a nice piece of something jagged. Did you get the replacement certs when you bought them?

Got mine mounted a couple weeks ago. 285/75/16 10 Ply. Tech had no issue balancing them, they rode AWFUL from the tire shop to my house... a quick check of the pressure showed 65 psi... dropped them down to 35 psi per a tire/weight chart I found online and couldn't be happier. I couldn't believe how quiet they are compared to my old Cooper Discoverer ATP's. It was like my truck wasn't even running! I haven't been off pavement yet unfortunately but on wet/dry pavement and in standing water they do great. No complaints here! If for some random reason I don't get more than 30k miles out of them I won't care. For $541 to the door I'm ok with that. 20170414_182410-01.jpg

I jumped on the $100 off EBay deal DTD had and then had a local shop mount and balance them for me. To good of a deal to pass up!

So I just read every page in this thread. Do you guys think it's worth sacrificing the weight with the LT to get the extra life or just chance it and go with P rated. I'm looking at 265/70/17

I'd go with the LT personally.

Depends what you're gonna do with your truck. Mostly pavement with occasional off-roading? Go p rated. Lots of off-roading go lt.

Second this. I have had them on for close to a year but only have about 7k on them. I don't do a whole lot of offroading, mostly just getting where i need to go to put the kayak in but I went with P rated and haven't had any issues. When I did the lift and tires I was going for more functionality of daily driver with a little bit of explorer behind it. If you off road heavy then go with the LT at a minimum but if for the occasion trail P rated is just fine and won't hit the gas mileage as much

Thanks for the input. I don't do a lot of heavy off roading, I guess just a little worried about the P rated reviews of guys wearing these out in a year or around 20k miles. Awesome looking tires with great reviews on how they ride, for the price I think it's worth trying the P rated. I'm 95% pavement

Well like I said I have 7-8k on mine and I haven't noticed any abnormal wear yet. Keeping those fingers crossed though :fingerscrossed:

I went LT and I've been really happy with them. My 4Runner isn't my "wheeler" but I do go on the occasional adventure.

I have the P rated tires and I have a little over 10k on them. I didn't measure them when I first got them but I'm at 11/32 on all 4.

    1. Find mud hole
    2. Drive into mud hole
    3. Spin tires vigorously
    4. Park at mall
    5. Admire tires
