I've always wondered how my bolts get rounded off by the dealer...

 

When you think about it, doesn't a dealership have a conflict of interest when they sell new cars but are expected to fix used cars?

 

I'm taking her in for her first service this week. You just had to post this!

 

I don't take it in. Your mom brings it in for me after she's done cooking my breakfast.

 

But is he factory trained and ASE certified?

 

I know this sounds ridiculous but when you take it in to get it serviced, ask the service advisor which technician drives the nicest or best cared for vehicle. Most of the ones I work with drive junk, these are the same ones that won't touch my vehicles other than maybe do an ordinary 5k service or minor recall. The good ones drive nicer cars or trucks and seem to treat customers cars like their own. Ask your service advisor which technician he'd let work on his cars and why. Get the gist?

I work at a Toyota dealership so it's much easier for me to say or do. Nonetheless it's true.

 

I'm sure it is for you but can't imagine how an average Joe would be taken saying this to the service manager.

 

Nope he is APE certified.

 

Finally....the elusive and rarely seen monkey wrench. I can sleep now...........

 

It just shows why you shouldn't let just anyone monkey around with your truck.
