Will these M12x1.5 lugs fit on an aftermarket wheel and be safe? Will they seat properly??

Discount Tire wants $60 for a black spline 24pc set! But I noticed they have a longer thread. They look like this...

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I've ran both kinds of these lug nuts. I felt more comfortable running the extended thread (the second kind) since it's able to bite a little harder.

Those second ones are the same nuts that came with my wheels and work fine on my p.c. wheels

How long did you have the shorter ones on for before switching. Thing is I have a set coming tomorrow in the mail but didnt realize they were shorter. Dont wanna put them on if they aren't safe.

I ran the shorter ones for awhile, and went off-road too. I only got the extended thread ones because I was getting new wheels, and wanted black lug nuts to go with them. You'll be fine running the shorter ones.

EDIT: All this was on a second gen, so take it with a grain of salt. If you don't feel like you're getting a good amount of threads, use common sense.

And I'm assuming no issues?? Only difference between yours and the ones I'm getting tomorrow are the closed ends on yours seems a tad bit longer. That shouldnt affect anything I'm guessing though.

Before these I had Gorilla Nuts that were Chrome from America's tire for $50!!! So when I wanted to switch from chrome I wasn't going to get ripped off again. The only reason I got new lug nuts in the 1st place was because my stock lug nuts wouldn't work with my new rims. So it was either pay for new lug nuts and have them mounted or wait and find a better deal and come back. But I had my stock rims & tires already sold as soon as they came off the truck. No problems at all!

Kinda the same story with me. Dude I bought the truck from had like 8 diffetent style of lug nuts on the truck. When I bought the tires from Pep Boys they didnt say a word about it. Bought my aftermarket wheels at Discount Tire and they said wow this is very unsafe. You could actually see where the nuts where eating away at the stock rims! All they had at the time where chrome and iff course I wanted nuts to fit aftermarket wheels so I bought them. Now that I want all the chrome off the truck black lug nuts are the way to go. But didnt want to spend another $60. Got mine from ebay for $18 shipped

Middle ground is an option I've had for 2+ years.

The paint holds up well on these. Whatever kind you end up going with buy at least 2 sockets for them since they often are different sizes and have a tendency to break when you least want them to. I carry two with me at all times in the truck. Here's just the socket:
