Took a break from cooking dinner for the better half (trust me, she is the better half, I am a lucky man!) and ran out in the rain to snap a shot or two in the rain.

Awesome. Debating staying the same size (275/70/17) and same tire (ko2) or going up a to 255s and the st Maxx when I need new meats later this year. 275 is almost like a perfect size for the amount I drive as it's only a few tenths shorter than a 285, but much skinnier and doesn't weigh terribly much. On the other hand 255s are even lighter than my 275s, but taller. Plus I'd need a new spare.

Love the hybrid bumper too. I want either a hybrid or the metal tech tube for my FJ. Demello hybrid starts at like $1500 though.....

I love the skinny tires, but the wider ones look awesome on FJs IMHO. Do you find the weight of tire makes much of a difference with the FJ. Its kind of a light truck with a powerful V6, I am thinking that weight might not matter.

I almost went with the Demello...just couldn't fork out the extra 500! Its nice though

I too am totally into the tall narrow tires. I'd like to put the 235/85/16 on my rims, but I bought my truck used with 8" wide aftermarket. I wouldn't be able to fit 235/85/16 on a 8" rim right?

I know the manufacturer say 7.5 is the widest suggested. Then again, I have seen guy with dualies do it. I don't know for sure. Could always go 255 lol

I don't know that weight makes that much of a difference. It didn't get good gas mileage before I lifted it and ran bigger tires, and it gets worse now. Usually around 17-18mpg, so not terrible but not great considering I drive 30-50k miles a year not great either:rofl:

Wider tires so look great of the FJ though, I'll agree there.

It's been done. Can't remember if was here or expedition portal where there was a thread on this. They looked good stretched out a little wider
