Very slow... and today is shaping up to be about the same...

Morning everyone. Agreed @Noelie84 . Gonna have to definitely mow my lawn for the first time this year soon... nice and green and seems like it's growing quite a bit.

 

Slow for me too. Was hoping to sneak out for a run but got pulled into a 4 hr meeting

 

This rain is going to make everything grow in a hurry. My lawn is the same way, and I feel like I just put the snow blower away. Have a birthday party for my son on Saturday and going to have to mow before then (also pick up all the dog shit that has been collecting over the winter).

 

Luckily my buddy raked my yard last week with his riding mower. He has a Scag Tigercat, with a rake in the front, so he raked my yard and that got most if not all of the dog shit that I had.

 

I never understood the happy ending. I mean, I know those women are pros with thier hands, but honestly, there is NO WAY they can do that better than I can.

 

Ain't that the truth right there.

 

Food tastes better when somebody else cooks it.

After the last few rainy days and weekend supposedly around 80, the grass will need almost a constant cutting...

 

I guess I am a control freak because anytime someone else mows the lawn I am dissapointed. Cooking well, someone else can usually not fuck that up too much.

Maybe this is why I am living alone?

 

Indeed. I dropped off my machine at a local shop last Saturday, to get a tune up. Picked it up from my buddy last year, who picked it up from someone else, and not sure when they had maintenance done to it, so figured I'd get that done finally.

It's a 48" hydraulic commercial grade walk behind. Brand is Lesco (which I think is or was somehow associated with John Deere at one point). Dropped it off to get the oil changed, hydraulic fluid changed, greased, cleaned up, tuned up, all that good stuff. Picking it up Saturday morning since I don't really have a chance to do it during the week because of work, and because the place is closed by the time I get out.

 

If you think that yanking yourself around is better than having somebody else do it, that may also be a contributing factor.

 

This must be a theme for the day? A lot of talk of yanking in here and the manual trans thread lol.

 

Big pimpin! I use the very cheapest self propelled Honda that Home Depot had when I bought it 13 years ago. The throttle cable broke so for 3 years I have used a pair of vice grips to pull the frayed part of the cable out so I can start it. No way I am spending $11 on a new throttle cable.
