Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
It is, and yes... its not easy. I did about 4 tiles last night and decided to let it dry to see how it looked before I continued. I needed to get a new blade for the grout saw I have before I could keep working on that stuff.

Heres a serious question...how many people can actually go in to a HomeDepot or Lowes and not buy something?? I know I sure cant ;)

I will specify it for restrooms. You can also buy high performance group that has the sealer built in or as an additive

And that's what he said. It's TYPICALLY used in bathroom settings, but with my issue of floor/bad thinset, it would probably not be a bad idea to have it in there. Honestly, I have never seen grout just break up like the stuff in my kitchen is. They did possibly the worst job I have ever seen. And I work in the military where bad jobs are the norm.

Yeah, I'm aware of the screw no no, and a large part of my motivation is the existing long, floppy corrugated aluminum run that is 30 years old. The sweeped 90 is rigid. Basically, I want a high-performance header pipe for this setup.
I've been thinking about that lint box too. The space is sort of semiconditioned. Hard to explain, but it is a large void between 2 split level floors. Not attic, not crawl. That said, is your point on insulation to prevent condensation inside the duct toward the exhaust end that could create a sticky damp lint trap toward the end?
    Oops. Edit: good for you.

If you're talking about an inline lint trap like the one I put in , I ended up ripping it out

    Do not recommend

I did once!!! I went to Lowes to look at lawnmowers, knowing that I would buy one later in the week, and didn't buy anything till I bought my lawnmower later in the week.

Here's a not serious question, anyone not shop at Home Depot since they are no longer a sponsor of NASCAR?

For this house I wont do anything like that. The compressor isn't THAT loud overall. Plus it wont be kicking on all that often. Generally when I am using it, I wouldn't be to worried about noise anyways. Plus if I do need to be quiet, the old compressor will cover things just fine. When I have a new garage, Ill have the compressor in its own room though.

I go into them quite often and don't buy anything. Usually either cause I don't like the price or I want something better quality. Now the local hardware store....there I have a hard time going in and not coming out with something.

I do go to Lowes more than Home Depot. But mainly only cause Lowes is 5 minutes vs 20 minutes for HD. Plus coupons for Lowes make things better. The local store still gets most of the business for my "need a bolt or two" stuff since they are 2-3 minutes away

My wife and I have been doing a renovation on our house for about the past 10 months, and are finally nearing the home stretch. Prior to this, I had no home improvement experience outside of painting the exterior and running surround sound in my prior house. Just been learning as I go. So far we have done:

    - Master bath - full gut. Removed oversized corner jet tub, small corner shower, and toilet. Re-drywalled, new shower pan, shower tile, clawfoot tub, new toilet, new countertop.
    - 2 guest bathrooms - new tile floors, new counters, new drop in shower/tub in one bathroom.
    - Full gut in lower level, removed faux beams across the ceiling, ran new recessed lighting, rewired wet bar for separate mini fridge and kegerator (future). Had pros do drywall, as it is a main living area. BEST MONEY EVER SPENT.
    - Ran recessed lighting in upper level living room.
    - Ran CAT6 Ethernet through the house.
    - Scraped popcorn ceilings in entire house (worst job ever).
    - Paint entire inside (still have kitchen to go).
    - Demoed all the floors, including entry way mortar bed (also sucked - 3" of mortar). Going with 4" red oak floors - getting delivered Friday! They'll acclimate for a couple weeks, then be installed. Probably going to end up with some kind of walnut color finish.

The floors are definitely the biggest goal achieved once they're done. We haven't had flooring in the entire house since we moved in, so having a consistent hardwood throughout the entire house (except bedrooms and bathrooms) will be awesome. Once that's done, we will install the new base/crown, get the new carpet put in the bedrooms, repair/paint the outside, install new gutters, and then finally be able to focus on my favorite part - landscaping. We are also going to be building a 15x40 raised bed garden here in the near future.

I'm on my work computer, but I'll try and find some pics of the rehab to post up here later.

EDIT: And since we are now talking lawn mowers - this is my toy. JD x485 w/ only 600 hours. My wife says I am obsessed with my tractor, but working in the yard is my favorite past time. Overkill for just mowing the yard, but I use it for snow removal, garden chores, and moving firewood, brush, and rock. I love JD garden tractors. Next one will be a diesel 4x4.

My Dad owned a wholesale hardware store but Lowe's and Home Depot aren't the same. They are close.

Except for a few minor touch ups and planting the flower beds, the back yard landscaping is done!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It's a chore not to, that's for sure. I make sure I walk around the tool aisle. Ours tends to put clearance tools in random places. I bought a Bora WTX saw guide for $17 and it had the jigsaw attachment on it.
    I could careless honestly.
Same thing here. I prefer Home Depot to Lowes but Lowes is 5 minutes (3 of that is waiting for her to get in the truck) and HD is 35 minutes.

I like Lowe's over HD, with Lowe's 15 minutes away and HD 20. Tractor Supply is only 5, but their stock is always randomly varied and never properly labeled. I spent 10 minutes there once reorganizing their plumbing parts bins because nothing was where it should have been.

Oops. No I meant inwall dryer box, said that earlier. But also remembered you tried an inline lint trap. Why did you need to remove it?

Door wouldn't seal worth a shit , after about 10 minutes of drying time enough back pressure would be created to push the door open and end up venting a bunch of the dryer exhaust into the room

I even tried to add weatherstripping and magnet catches

Eventually cut open the drywall , ripped it out and re-vented that section

Today we finished up a few details on the roof decking , cut our "gable" ends that we had left long and straightened and nailed off the glulam rafters on either end

We had to create a 2x8 board to get an overhang at the low end as our 2x6 decking would not allow for the 3" overhang we wanted and be well fastened

A pass through a dado head in the tablesaw formed the groove we needed and we chamfered the edges with a laminate trimmer to match the v groove profile on the rest of the decking

Installed , creates the 3" overhang we wanted

Makes a nice chopsaw station haha

After finishing up the decking details we managed to get a few rows of the 1/2" plywood down , should finish that no problem tomorrow

1/2" plywood is going down with PL Premium and 1 1/2" x .120 galv roofing nails @ 4"OC on all edges and 8" OC in the field
