They are a double-edged sword to be sure.

 

Handles fine on roads if you drive it like a truck.

y'all talkin bout not washing your truck....... it KILLS me not having a clean truck. i love playing in the mud as much as anybody else but nothing beats a nice shiny truck inside and out.

 

Good for you man! Truck parts only get paid for in cash. It's a super un-American thing to do though.

Some guys just cant stand a dirty truck! My Dad bothers me every single time I am at his house. I had a guy at the mall ask me if I have ever washed it, cuz he has never seen it clean.

Honestly I love my truck dirty. I trail it so much in the summer, if I wanted to keep it clean id spend all my time cleaning it.

 

Same here. I washed my Fiesta ST all the time. I was obsessive about it. Now, I have owned my truck since December, this was my first washing. It was not even really a full wash, just foam gun and pressure washer. It's still plenty dirty.

 

Ha! My previous car was a 2013 Fusion SE EcoBoost. Leather interior, sound package, everything but the sun roof.

I bought my truck in October with 165,000 miles on it. Plenty of dents and dings and already some issues with the paint from being in the AZ sun.
I promptly took it onto the trails and scraped the hell out of the sides against Aligator Junipers, Palo Verde and Mesquite trees, cactus and other assorted shrubbery.

If I clean it, I'll be able to see all the imperfections.

But the interior, I still want that semi-clean. I hate a dusty dash and gauges. Some habits are harder to break.

Today I've been tweaking the layout of the Torque Pro App I downloaded since I got my little Vgate ODBII reader. Still need to figure some stuff out...

What does everyone else have displayed for monitoring? I've got engine coolant temp, compass, MPG, Roll/Pitch, distance to E, ambient air temp and fuel status.

 

Current weekend project. Retrofit base FRS seat (has manual height adjustment) into truck. If all goes well I'll do passenger side.
