i already have the links, im getting worried that 3.0s will just smash into the tire at articulation.

I've done a few like that for full custom setups I dont have pics of, I ended up notching the frame using some tubing for the recess to allow the shock to cycle and not hit the frame or tire, and ended up plating the backside with some thick steel plate to give the strength back

Shit, on my Jeep I cut the frame completely and have just a 3/8" thick plate welded to the back of the frame skin since I cut the rest out and I beat the hell out of it and the tires are off the ground half the time!

What about having the upper bars recess into the cab? You can do some sheetmetal work and allow them to stuff up into the cab with a little finesse, although it is VERY time consuming but looks really nice.

im doing a panhard 3 link cause i dont wanna screw with a fuel cell. id rather get the shocks i want first than have to sell them later. id probably notch the frame but 2.5 coil and 3.0 bypass is alot to knotch out on such a tiny frame. end of the day i just dont want to rub the hell out of the shocks and risk getting a bent shaft or fuck something up. some rub is fine but i need some articulation also

Yep a ton of fab is involved, but if you are trying to work around your fuel tank its gonna really limit you, I have built custom fuel tanks before but the cost gets out of control really quick. You can cut the frame completely back where the shocks articulate and bolster it there, and you can use the custom shock mount as part of the reinforcement. You surely dont want to jack up a shock.

i was thinking of a new rear housing to get the wms better. probably around 72" because that will match my front when i go with the MCM race kit. and ill just do a housing and still use the toyota third and upgrade to some disks in the rear. then i dont have to screw with spacers and worry about rub. then i can do 3.5s for @ls1 prerunner lol

You should really take a bunch of measurements during the build and order the appropriate shocks instead of building and then trying to find shocks to fit. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to put a 3.0 bypass on your truck. You'll be very happy with a properly valve and spring rated coilover.

Same with mine, Jeff did the dmz install for me and no driveshaft mods needed. I do think we strapped it at 16-17" though.

I love the l-56 wire, but I won't buy it from lowes or Home Depot. The 11lb spools they get are rolled like shit and always tangle like 4lbs in.
