Why bother. After a while there is enough dirt built up under it that even driving through a big puddle puts a light coat of dirt down the sides of the truck.

The same shit everyone else has.
Ugh. I couldn't imagine not keeping my truck clean.

Keeping it clean keeps it from falling apart especially underneath. Dirt and mud trap moisture, moisture turns metal into rust. Rust = bad.

Even if you don't wanna spend the time detailing it, atleast have the decency to hose the frame off.

In all for getting my truck muddy, but I want it to last another 100k miles. Cleaning it ensures it will.

Plus if you maintain your wax, it makes keeping it cleaner MUCH easier after it gets dirty.

I'm terrible at managing money, so apparently I got the correct type of truck!

Washed her, now just sitting here waiting on parts from half a dozen places. Wondering if I have enough time to go get more beer and pick up all the parts I need for rear diff breather relocation...
Oh and katskins or what for new seat covers...

I have to agree 100%. I used to wash and wax my first car (74 Ford Maverick) all the time. Of course I was stupid and used hot water and dish soap, but I was just a kid. 2nd car, Escort GT, washed that thing a lot. My last two vehicles have been silver trucks and they get washed when you can't see the chrome anymore. I still like to spend an afternoon detailing the Taco, but lately those afternoons are rare. Mostly I go for the quick wash and dry.

Speaking of which, I tried a new product today. Makes it much easier to clean the wheels without a lot of scrubbing. Did a quick video since I had the phone with me.

If you have to pay interest on truck parts then you should not be buying truck parts....:smack:

 Good for you, and being different. I switched out my Bronze TRD wheels with Black Methods recently because I was tired of all the brown. "Bronze is the new black"
I really like Black wheels on a Pyrite Mica though.. :)

Judging by that and the extra wiring I can see there, some sort of alarm, and that's likely some sort of valet mode button.

I would follow the wires till you find the controller. Look up the manual on the web after you get the model number. I would agree this is the valet switch on the system.
