I had debated buying one for quite some time. The girl really wanted one though and it was only 30 bucks so I got it for us. I think you can fit two people in it. I've used it a few times already at my house in the backyard

Didn't get it for sleeping. More for just lounging wherever we find ourselves

    Do it! :stirthepot: :boink:

This bike is FAR from a rocket, but it'll get up and go plenty quick for my liking :)

The KTM's are really nice, just pricy.

Did you get it for just trails? I was looking for a honda 250x plated, but they are costly and i here the valves suck on them.

But that's why we have trucks! I hooked mine up to the bed rails between my truck and Greg's one day. I'm also thinking about making a stand somehow, so that if I'm on a solo trip with no trees, I can hook one end to my bed rails, and then another to a stand and still use it.

Two trucks with roof racks work great too! I've done it with Greg too when we were out in the Mojave.

I got it for a little bit of everything, my crf450r has sat inside for the last two years and it's been killing me. It'll be for around town, to and from work when it's nice out and trails (maybe even the track after the suspension is done). My crf will be going up for sale soon though :( I love that bike...

Honda's do and don't have valve issues. I've had an 04 and 06 crf250r as well as this 08 450r. It's a single cam vs Yam/Suz/Kaw that are all dual cam. The valves get tight more easily but they're a breeze to adjust after you've done it once or twice. If you ignore the symptoms (hard starting, rough idle, etc...) then it can go south quickly. I had to adjust mine every ~15-20 rides, and working straight through once I knew everything, from start to finish could have it done in about an hour, going slow maybe 2 hours. No real specialty tools other than the feeler gauges and a micrometer, I did have a hot cams valve shim kit for both intake and exhaust valves though so I never had to run to the shop to buy different thickness shims.

I remove my LCA skids if i have time. Otherwise I bring a pack of beer for the tech to do it for me. Those need to come off to reach the cam bolts. Bear Alignment comes highly recommened by @Airdog . ill be hitting them up for a good old fashioned alignment once I get my cam tabs burned on to get a true alignment. Then ill be returning to firestone since ive paid for it already. My alignmemt is thrashed right now so I figure Bear is a solid bet to true me up as much as possible out the gate.

Word. @tetten does his own alignment in his driveway. Sounded complex to me when he described the process but its impressive if you can handle it. I'm not that sharp.

If you're gonna do Burns on Sunday you may want to hold off. I wheeled it with @Dangerousd1987 today and he said he may have knocked his jacked up alignment into a true alignment. Haha!
